Summary: I came to the Road Stop Neandertal to find a highly recommended hotel near Wuppertal that was not too expensive. The pictures caught my eye as being colorful- and I liked that our room would have sort of two bedrooms to get some space from the kids (2 teens). The best features to me were: the food at the restaurant was great! - Super breakfast buffet for only 10EU and the beds were very comfortable. The outside of the place is very cute and wooden with balconies... liked the terrace from the room. Mettman is close enough to Wuppertal if you have a car. The worst feature was the lame wifi that couldn't stay connected at all! My kids needed to blow off steam and not use up their international data, my husband needed to do work and I was planning our adventures... and it was very frustrating. Also, the motel is VERY POORLY MARKED! They desperately need a sign! We arrived late at night and had a very hard time finding the place. The GPS kept saying we were here but we went around the block a few times before we found the ally that led to the back of the bar attached to the restaurant! We had the football Room. I didn't realize the rooms had themes. The idea was kind of cool... the floor in our room was astroturf, there were football decorations and a cage for a closet... but the shower was a gang stall with no door and it flooded the bathroom every time someone took a shower. Also, there was a small kitchenette, but no desk of bureau of any kind to put things on or in.

Summary: Pretty cool spot. Everything together big restaurant with a hotel right there. Good food. The rooms are each themed and mine was cool, Space. Just throw in a fan and it would ve good. I know not to ask to improve the beds since its just how they are in German hotels.
