Large family cottage located at the quiet end of Robert's Lake across from the Parry Sound Municipal Airport. An easy 2 hour drive from Toronto, 14 minutes from Mactier, 18 minute from Rosseau, 9 minutes from Humphrey and 22 minutes south of Parry Sound. Beautiful gardens, approximately 1 acre of land with a three bedroom 1400 square foot cottage which sleeps 6. Large great room with billiards and a piano. Quiet property with deer, muskrat, beaver, heron, and the usual chipmunks. A lovely cottage to spend quiet family time together.
This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. Summary: Our time at Gloria's cottage was great. We were pleasantly surprise when arriving at finding fresh bread and jam as well the nice added touch of fresh flowers from the beautiful garden. The cottage was the right size for us, plenty of space. The dock and beach front area were the perfect setting for a peaceful get away. Also really enjoyed the fire pit.

Summary: Overall a wonderful experience. Gloria was helpful with any questions we had. The welcoming package of preserves and fresh bread as well as pies was a great touch. Plenty of movies, games and the use of a pool table was awesome! The grounds were amazing. A dock, sandy entrance and the paddle board and canoe as well as the fire pit kept us wanting to be outside. Simply peaceful and beautiful

Summary: Beautiful property. Easy walk into the lake for the little ones. Lots of puzzles and books to entertain on our one rainy day Finding the cutlery was a challenge at first. Welcome to the cottage Info on what to do with our garbage ,how to operate the projector etc would have been helpful. Also the master really needs the cobwebs in the corners and around the windows dusted.

Summary: If peace and quiet is your goal this place is it!!! LOVVVVE the master 'suite' where we could kick back and read some books. Beach and water were as described and we had hot weather so spent a lot of time there. My only suggestions are that the pool table be removed and proper TV w sat. be installed for late nights or rainy days.....was nice to play pool sure but really awkward set up so not a really comfy living room.. .if not tv then reorg the furniture so you might sit and view the lake. Otherwise we're hoping we can return next year....or maybe Christmas??. Thanks Gloria!!!

Summary: Was not as expected. More furniture in the cottage than shown in photos - lots of antique pieces which made it feel like it was a bit cluttered. Mouse feces in the livingroom on the table, on the pull out trundle of one of the beds, in with the dishes and utensils. Dust on the blinds in the bedrooms and an old cup of tea or something had been left in the microwave. Coffee pot is weird and doesn't continously brew so having to make sure to turn it on to brew your cup of java. Stove light is wonky and will flicker on and off. Asked for wifi password to access internet for my schooling and we watched the projector which had netflixs already loaded. Got a call on the second day that the wifi password wasn't so that we could use the netflix. The netflix was already loaded so we assumed part of the viewing options and the projector was already connected to the internet prior to our arrival. The water was nice and was cool to see planes flying over and landing. Neighbours dogs ran freely all over the property which was a bit of a nuisance as the one just barked continously and the other jumped up on us a lot. Garbage is taken by the airport (take the road to the airport and it is on the right hand side). My 8 year old son grabbed one of the towels while packing thinking it was one from home but we will be returning it as arranged with Gloria. Grateful for the getaway but not likely to stay again.

Summary: The cottage and property surrounding it were spacious and beautifully kept. The cottage is incredibly well stocked and furnished (including window coverings) - you will want for nothing. The location is ideal - easy for shopping and recreation assuming you have a car. The lake is small, clean and ideal for canoeing - no constant motorboat wake to harass you. Perfect for kids so they can learn boating skills safely in a quiet environment. There is also a lovely sand beach, and easy beach access for boating. We hope to return!

Summary: The entire family loved our stay at Gloria’s cottage. The water was beautiful, lovely sandy beach and good size lot. This section of the lake is very quiet as there is not many cottages. Inside, the kitchen is very well equipped. Lots of puzzles, games, DVDs for those rainy days. The only negative was not receiving the check info prior to arrival, but the neighbours were kind enough to assist us by contacting the owner. Would definitely consider for a future vacation stay.
