Situated on the east side of Mt Iron our Mudbrick Cottage with tiled roof is a 3 minute drive from the Wanaka township. The cottage is adjacent to our main house but very separate, fenced and private. Double glazed, walk in tiled shower, underfloor heating in bathroom, heat pump/air conditioner. WiFi. Great mountain views. Close to rock climbing, walking and cycling tracks. Clutha river (Deans Bank) fishing. Plenty of parking, room for the boat. Covered verandah. Note there is no Lake View from the property.
Please note Rockview is a Smokefree environment both inside and outside.
Extras: Cleaning (included); Linen (included);
Nightly rate: $185 1-2 guests. (3 night minimum stay)
Winter Rate (1st July 2023-31st October 2023. $185.00 per night (3 night minimum stay)

Summary: Trevor’s house is fabulous place to stay - we were there for 4 nights in all. It’s rare to find somewhere that really exceeded our expectations in every way. Well equiped kitchen with everything we needed, air conditioner in the lounge and even a heated bathroom floor, comfy bed and as well as really quiet environment. Trevor’s tips on where to eat was on the money too. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Summary: Trevor has a great place to stay here, so congrats if you’re reading this review because of open available dates. Everything I needed was there including the kitchen setup. The heated towel warmer in the bathroom was a nice touch. The location is great, too … being so close to Mt. Iron and other attractions. #1 choice to stay when (not if) I head back to Wanaka … didn’t want to leave.

Summary: Tucked away at the base of Mt Iron, was this quiet little cottage which had everything to make our stay memorable. The home was well equipped and positioned in relationship to Wanaka, walking tracks and the famous, Pembrooke Patisserie. It was a pleasure to enter town via a back road to avoid the busy January Wanaka traffic. Thank you to our warm, welcoming hosts.
