This is a unique mountain home with beautiful private outdoor oasis! The folk architecture style designed and created by the owner is breathtaking. There are cozy, romantic areas throughout. The owner has gone to great lengths to create beauty and character in every room in the house. From the compass rose inlay to the copper trim---there are architectural surprises everywhere you look. The property includes a hot tub, fireplace with gas logs, covered porch, fire pit, gas grill, and beautiful deck with year round view of the mountains. The Escape has a full kitchen stocked with ample equipment needed to prepare gourmet meals, a separate dining room surrounded by glass, and a breakfast nook with a view of the mountains. The bedroom hosts an antique iron queen bed with luxury bedding, and large dressing room. The two full bathrooms are beautiful with granite vanities and walk-in showers. The living room has a full size couch, stress-less recliner, flat screen TV with cable package, sound system, and wireless internet. It is difficult to describe the many details and features in the amazing Escape!
The property is located just minutes away from downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Grove Park Inn, and the Biltmore Estate. Also, there are many nearby outdoor adventure activities: hiking, whitewater rafting, snow and water tubing, zip lining, kayaking, horseback riding, fly fishing, mountain biking, climbing, snow skiing, and waterfall tours.
Spend the day in downtown Asheville dining, tasting our local beers, shopping or people watching.
Great day trips to nearby small towns: Waynesville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Flat Rock, Chimney Rock, Highlands, and Cashiers. Scenic routes to each, with great lunch spots. Enjoy shopping for locally made crafts in the quaint atmosphere of small mountain towns.

Summary: Very quaint and quiet cottage. The floors are beautiful! Tile in kitchen, amazing! Loved location, hot tub, fenced in yard is great for pets. Overall a wonderful stay!

Summary: My wife and I really loved the location of this house. Only took 10 mins to get to downtown. It was quiet and private, even though there are houses all around it. It had everything we needed. The bedroom was a little awkward with the size of the room not allowing for things like a larger bed or side tables. The host was very communicative, and was very accommodating when I screwed up the dates…twice.

Summary: Wanted a quick get away for a few nights. Quiet spot with pleasant views. No one looking over you. We spent our nights grilling out, making a fire and lounging in the hot tub watching the stars. The bed is comfy, the house is well kept and cozy. Loved that the backyard was fenced in for the dogs.

Summary: This was a perfect home away from home! It was just perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs. They loved the back yard and we loved sitting out in the hot tub looking up at the stars! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the home was clean and had everything we needed.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentine's weekend getaway at this quaint cottage! While we typically stay in downtown Asheville, this time we wanted to bring the pups and have a more relaxed weekend. This cottage was adorable and the hot tub was a perfect spot to see the twinkling mountainside in the evening or listen to the birds during the day. The layout of the primary bathrooms with the extra sink area was really nice! The bedroom is a bit small. Wish we could have had a shelf or table by the bed, but it was a very comfortable bed. The gas logs pump out some heat so it was always cozy. The pups loved the yard and wanted to be outside exploring constantly. Lots of great instructions left by the owner! We enjoyed pastries and coffee from Filo's and dinner at Jettie Rae's Oyster House during our stay.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at our VRBO in Asheville. The property has upscale features and was very clean and comfortable. The dog friendliness was much appreciated and the yard was well-fenced for our relaxation letting the dog off leash in the yard. The property location was just out of town offering convenience for going into town while providing a Quiet, safe, and relaxing respite. We would definitely recommend for any couple looking for a nice stay in Asheville!
