This 1-bedroom casita (small house) has a very large great room, beautiful kitchen and bathroom . The focal point of the great room may be its beautiful kiva style fireplace, but the wood ceilings with their large vigas will impress you! This room is very comfortably furnished with a large leather couch and easy chair. For children or extra guests, the daybed sleeps 2. Guests sitting in the conversation area will enjoy being close to the fire. Dining table has 6 chairs. The kitchen has beautiful marble counters, gas range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and is fully equipped for all your baking/dining needs. The bedroom has a queen bed and its own little stove to keep you warm and toasty. The bathroom has a large, marble-walled shower.This unique home is perfectly located for mountain activities. Forest roads give easy access to hiking and biking trails in the summer. In the winter, you can enjoy cross country skiing, sledding and snowshoeing or ski at Sipapu (20 min drive), Taos Ski Valley(45 min drive) or Angel Fire(45 min drive). The house is 10 minutes from the intersection of HWY 518 and HWY 68 so it is an easy drive into either Taos or Ranchos de Taos for shopping and sightseeing. You'll enjoy exploring art galleries, shops, museums and restaurants. The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge offers a bird's eye view of the river far below--but hold the railing if you are afraid of heights! Local companies offer hot air balloon rides and rafting trips along the Rio Grande. Plan on visiting the Taos Pueblo, a World Heritage Site. Casita Santos is located on the scenic high road between Santa Fe and Taos. You will be thrilled by the magnificent vistas unfolding before you as you take this drive. You'll want to stop at the historic adobe churches along the way and you must stop to visit the Sanctuario de Chimayo in Chimayo. Summary: My friends and I returned to stay after a visit two years ago to find so much that we loved about this property the same. This casita is designed well and staged thoughtfully. We appreciate the amenities Beverly provided and the setting once again was the backdrop for memories we will cherish. We wish check out time was more generous and flat pillows were replaced. All in all a lovely property for which we are grateful!

Summary: Great place, the only bad is, if someone staying in the main house they pretty much park right at your entrance. Parking is limited because this is a guest house moreless.

Summary: Close to town but country privacy. There is some traffic noise in the day but the house is very quite. Out host had everything we needed and even a few things we forgot to bring. Cleaner than my own house and the towels and linins were clean and good quality. Washer and Dryer were a huge plus. We had a great experience and would stay again for sure.

Summary: My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the casita and its amenities, our wonderful hosts and their communication, the overall area (Carson National Forest), and the proximity to Taos. The house was gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable, and it had plenty of space. We lacked nothing concerning entertainment, towels, linens, kitchen cookware and utensils, appliances, etc. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our clothes and toiletries. The kitchen was spacious and convenient for all our groceries and cooking needs. Last, but not least, the hot tub on the back patio was an amazing experience. There's nothing like celebrating your 32nd anniversary with a steamy soak under the stars! Further, the heaters in the bedroom and living room made it perfect for coming in from the cool air after soaking a while. As an add-on, our hosts impressed us even more by quickly mailing back an article of clothing we left behind by mistake. We would definitely rent from them (especially this casita) again!

Summary: The property is very well maintained, and very comfortable for two people. It is spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is nice and had everything you needed. It is about 11 miles from downtown Taos, and there is really no facilities within 4 or 5 miles of the property, but that is what we expected. In the indoor kiva fireplace was really beautiful and very enjoyable. The older leather couch not so much, but then again we did not even bother with the TV, so it was not needed by us. Personally, the pillows on the bed were spongy, but then again, that is just a small nit. Overall, this is a great place and we enjoyed it both inside and out. We would fully recommend it to anyone, and the host communication was excellent.
