Cottage very nicely decorated and completely equipped with your every need and whim--even Q-tips and the razor you forgot!, and also including ample nice linens & towels, dining/kitchenware & appliances: 2 frigs, stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, mixer & iron. Kitchen/ dining area, bath with shower, one bedroom loft with high quality quilted queen-size bed, living room with fireplace and leather couch which is a single bed; and a river deck with a 4-person Hot Tub & slate outdoor patio with lounge & dining furniture and two grills: Weber propane grill and a charcoal grill. And a new Fire pit at the top of the cliff surrounded by the river year-round!
Includes oil heat, firewood for fireplace, electricity, trash & snow removal & unlimited in/out-state telephone service with wireless high speed cable--bring your laptop! Summary: I stayed with my daughter for a few days of relaxation. It's winter; we did not use all of the amenities that our charming host provided. But we did enjoy our stay in this very cosy place. Thank you to Liz.

Summary: I had a wonderful stay here! I was looking for a quiet escape with my dog from the hustle of NY, and this was just perfect for us. The place was cozy and comfortable. My favorite was sitting in the hot tub overlooking the clear river. Simply peaceful. There was a maintenance issue, but the owner was very communicative and more than accommodating. I already booked a return trip for the spring.

Summary: Our stay here was what my girlfriend and I needed to get away. From sitting back and watching the stars in the night sky, to relaxing during the day with the sound of the river in the background was very peaceful. Just being in nature was great but the cottage was well kept and truly felt like a home. The hot tub is a great way to decompress after the adventures the day had brought. Personally I did also enjoy having the music system connect via Bluetooth, it definitely added some more fun in the mix. Anything that was needed was within driving distance. I very much enjoyed the kitchen being well equipped as it was, it was nice to cook our own meals. There wasn’t anything we felt was missing during our stay here. There is enough towels, blankets, pots and pans to make sure you don’t miss out on anything. Liz really created a recipe for comfort in the woods here. I am very curious how beautiful the scenery looks when snow hits the ground. Thank you Liz for sharing this gem with us!

Summary: Overall, we enjoyed our time at the rock river cottage. We felt welcome walking in to the cottage lit by twinkle lights and music playing. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and peaceful (better than pictured). In particular, we loved the hot tub, private beach, and Bluetooth sound system (indoor and out on the deck). The cabin is a nice retreat from busy everyday life. It’s a bit rustic, with every space put to use, and harkens back to a simpler time (VHS!). Well stocked with necessities, trinkets, and tokens — so not your minimalist aesthetic — it felt like a time capsule. We appreciated that our host didn’t nickel and dime us (thanks for the campfire wood!). We loved the town of Brattleboro. A particular highlight was Ball State park hike to Hamilton falls with a truly resplendent swimming hole. Very special panoramic views. We second the macaroni and cheese rec from Vermont country deli. We also loved the oyster bar in town.

Summary: Had a lovely time in the cottage. It was so peaceful with the view and sounds of the river running through the back yard. If you are looking for a quaint, peaceful place to stay, I would definitely recommend.
