Terrapin Cottage is lovingly tucked away in the forest at the end of a cul-de-sac; very private. Paved roads all the way. Just 15 minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and points of interest.
Spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom; loaded with country charm; wood stove; central air; sky lights; deck onto private woods. One queen bed in master bedroom; double futon in tv room; trundle bed in 3rd bedroom and double sleeper sofa in living room (all thick comfortable mattresses - yes, even the futon and sleeper sofa!). All linens provided. Air mattresses are available for extra bedding upon request.
There is a 42 inch flat screen Smart TV with internet access as well as Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube and all that internet access offers. A DVD/BlueRay player is also available so you can bring your favorite videos to enjoy during your stay.
Just an hour and a half from Washington D.C. and Baltimore; 1 hour from Fairfax, VA.; relax amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains near Historic Harpers Ferry, WV, above the Shenandoah Valley and River. A 5 minutes drive will give you access to the Appalachian Trail. Enjoy the unspoiled natural beauty of God's country.

Summary: The property is conveniently located near the river and all the surrounding attractions such as the historical district of Harpers Ferry, Shepherd's Town, C & O Toe path and the Appalachian Trail.

Summary: It’s our tradition to camp every year and this year with a toddler we wanted to have an upgrade from tent camping. This was way more than an upgrade! It had a fire pit, grill, utensils, and the coziest cottage feel! Very cute! Our toddler loved walking around in circles all over the cabin- and we had three dogs and 4 adults and there was plenty of room. Very close (5-10 min) to scenic views (not very stroller friendly) but the views are so accessible that you don’t even need one. Definitely recommend!

Summary: Overall the property was nice. It would have been nice to have either cable or satalite TV but we made do. Had to find the TV that was in the master bedroom closet. A warning to anyone renting this listing is that the GPS will take you down a street that has a ditch across it. I messed up the bottom front of my vehicle because I wasn't aware it was there. The other thing I would mention for Kevin is to add the requirements under pets welcome to inform people before they rent that dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. We managed to keep ours off but it was a hassle.

Summary: This property is well-equipped but could be improved with the addition of a dishwasher and a full-size washer and dryer. You are definitely in nature while staying here - we saw a herd of deer one evening.
