Positive: The apartment had everything we needed. As a family travelling with kids, we had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. The apartment was well kept, cosy, and very clean. Flávio is an exceptional host. He was always available, even before our arrival. During our stay, we could easily reach out to him. Flávio provided all the information we needed to make the best of our stay. Although the apartment is not located in the centre of Rome, it provides an excellent opportunity to explore and get to know a different neighbourhood, and we took advantage of that. Access to the centre was, nevertheless, easy using the underground, which was just a few minutes walk through a street full of shops and coffee shops.

Negative: About the apartment, nothing to dislike. I was initially disappointed that it wasn't closer to the centre and a bit uncomfortable that the building where the apartment is located was old. The apartment itself is something else and we felt safe in the area. I came to later discover that Rome is, in general, an old city.

Positive: The choices of design are a clear attempt to provide a comfortable stay. It is clean and has many options to optimize personal comfort. My son loved the duck toilet seat provided for toddler support. The shower gel was good quality. I also liked that there was a Netflix account set up for the space.

Negative: The exterior and lead up to the property are very off-putting at first. It is dark, in a graffiti-ridden area. This put me on guard right away. The neighbors were having what sounded like a small argument or stern conversation when we arrived, which all made me feel overprotective. However, I realized quickly that the people in the area were quite friendly, so I felt more comfortable eventually. The property is clean, but a little dusty that we could have used slippers. I did not have great communication with the host. I think that the timing of some things were lost in translation due to late delivery of messages traveling with limited WiFi and cell services. I don’t think that the guest experience was the primary concern of the host.

Positive: The place itself is amazing. So nice, so clean, and the host sends so many helpful pictures and instructions, it was great! Great little cafe around the corner with super friendly staff and great prices. My daughter even locked her shoes in the safe and the host came and got them out for us, which was amazing, she was in tears and he saved the day!

Negative: It's FAR from where you wanna be in Rome if you're there to sightsee. Like 50 minutes one way to most things if you're using public transit and not much quicker by car. Taxis/Ubers were both unreliable from both of the apps (we would confirm a ride and then it would reset and say no one was available, multiple times) and we ended up having to book Uber Black to get back in the evening - because the metro is so far from the restaurants and tourist sights. And the uber black cost like 6. We did find a taxi the second night and that was only 30 euro. You can metro easily from the apt to the train station Termini or the Tram also goes there and the metro is very close to the apartment, so that was good, but Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon involve 2 trains and then either a bus ride or over a mile walk. We just didn't realize how far out of central Rome it was. Rome is huge. But the host was lovely and the place was so nice. It's a great value, but if we visit Rome again we'll stay in Trastevere. or somewhere more central.

Summary: Lovely spot, super clean, great host, far from historical sights.
