Spacious multi-acre country retreat on Wallace Creek 5 miles outside of San Saba. There are two homes with full kitchens and plenty of space for all. Get away from the city and enjoy the sights and sounds of Central Texas country living. Tons of wildlife, see the stars at night, build a fire and sit on the large back porch overlooking the sounds of the creek rushing by. With enough beds to sleep 22 and over 4,300 square feet of living space your whole group will have plenty of space for the getaway. One home has four bedrooms that can sleep 17 (12 beds) and two full baths. The other home has two bedrooms (one queen/one king) and two full baths.
San Saba is a fabulous town to visit with lots of activities so check the local calendar before you come. There is also golf, shopping, Mill Pond park, a running trail at Risien park and outdoor activities like the nearby Colorado Bend State Park.

Summary: This gorgeous property was simply amazing. Not only is it beautiful with the creek running so close to the home, right off the deck, but the house is completely stocked so well and the two separated homes provide space that's great for big groups! That way your early wakers don't wake the whole group! :) Lela was amazingly responsive and so understanding! The kitchens were the most well supplied I've ever been to, anything you needed was there. The home is very clean, nice bathroom, comfy beds. Love the upstairs loft on one side for the kids, was a little warmer up there and one room without a fan, but it was fine when we turned the AC down. The deck outside was amazing, tons of rocking chairs, tables, and seating. The kids were occupied with endless things to do! Loved the tire swing, ping pong, bean bags, porch swing, kayaking! This place is heaven for parents with kids! We took walks around and the pecan trees are gorgeous a provide nice shade in the fields. It had rained before we got there so there was a waterfall off the road that was perfect white noise the whole trip! The shallowest parts of the creek where harder for us to get to with the kids but they all had a blast playing in the waterfall and kayaking down the creek. Absolutely loved this place and will definitely try to come back again! Thanks Lela for an amazing stay!

Summary: We had such a wonderful time. This place has so much room. The kids loved the bunk room upstairs. They also loved playing in the creek. We so enjoyed the very large back porch/deck. There was everything you needed for cooking between the two large kitchens. It was so awesome to hear the trickle of the creek while we sat out on the porch. Lela was excellent at responding and seemed like such a gracious home owner. There was a ping pong table, corn hole, slack line, kayaks, tons of board games, and a few toys. Absolutely a great place to gather for a large group with kids.

Summary: This property is beautiful. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs listening to the creek, watching the stars, watching the armadillos roam. Lela was very accommodating and quick to respond. It was the perfect get away post Christmas hustle and bustle!
