Positive: Joan was a fabulous host! The cottage was beautiful, quiet and comfy with a fabulous bed. The gentle sounds of the wee lambs bleating and the cows bellowing was so homely. The tea, milk etc was a lovely thought and the whole cottage was so well kitted out. It was private and secure and we had a marvellous stay. Location-wise it was perfect. Duncannon and its lovely beach was closeby and as we cycle we were convenient to the Waterford Greenway. We had secure storage for our bicycles too. We could not have asked for more.

Negative: What a ridiculous question! Our holiday was fabulous 5* plus!

Positive: It was a lovely clean comfortable and private cottage.

Negative: Booking.com needs to be updated as the beach restaurant and pub is not a 2 minute walk it is a 3km drive. This was very disappointing as we would love to walk in the early morning or late evening and have a drink and listen to music in the evening.

Positive: We had a fantastic stay at Rose Cottage. It was perfect. The children loved being able to step out of the front door and see all the lambs at sheep. There was plenty of room in the cottage, and everything was wonderfully clean. There was everything we could have needed on hand to make our stay comfortable. The cake and biscuits on arrival were a real hit. There was absolutely nothing we could fault about our stay. Would return in a heartbeat!

Positive: Peaceful, rural area. House well equipped. Good base for touring the Hook Peninsula.

Negative: As we booked via the Bookings. Com website, it mistakenly indicates Duncannon Beach & restaurants are within 100 metres and less from the property which they are not! You would definitely require transport to get to these places which are at least 2 kilometres from the cottage on country roads! 😉

Positive: The hostess went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The surroundings (cattle and sheep) was great to observe and there are many worthwhile sights in the area.

Negative: Due to the location in the middle of a working farm off a road with no sidewalks, there was no opportunity to go for a run or a stroll directly from the cottage except on the grassy shoulder of the road.
