A charming vintage cottage and getaway.
Pets welcome (they'll enjoy the fenced yard) and a 10 minute walk to the North Beach via Solomon Avenue. Complimentary WiFi, garden seating. Downstairs, Rose's Folie offers 2 bedrooms each with 1 queen bed.
There is also a full bathroom downstairs. The 2nd floor offers a 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds as well as a full bath with tub (no shower).
There are TVs in living room and all bedrooms. All TVs are cable-connected EXCEPT THE UPSTAIRS TV. UPSTAIRS TV IS SMART TV/NO CABLE. Rose's Folie is full of wonderful original art and unique touches.
North Campbell is next to Chu's Convenience and the golf cart rental. The Historic Tybee Guard House - ideal for weddings and special occasions- is 1 block away, as is JC Park for the kids to play! The Tybee Lighthouse and Museum are an easy walk as well.
Please note- the location is residential, however being so close to the restaurants and North End business district also means that during busy summer weekends and weeks, you are closer to traffic and noise. If you are looking for an extremely quiet location- this is not the location. If you are looking to be more in the heart of activity and close to restaurants and services, then this is the location for you! Reviewer Comments: In anticipation of a long awaited vacation to our favorite happy place we contacted a rental company we had used multiple times previously and did NOT even get a call back. We reached out to Mermaid Cottages. MC was wonderful to work with—eager to work with our time frame and budget. They found a perfect cottage for us! A lovely, quaint, and charming cottage with all of the everyday conveniences. Great communication from the start keeping us in the loop—they even called us to say the house was ready prior to the normal check-in! Their attention to detail is beyond measure...they left a thoughtful, handwritten note and gift in celebration of a recent retirement! MC was quick to respond to a very small glitch (coffee maker would not work)—a new one was delivered to the house quickly! We are already planning our next stay and will DEFINITELY have MC find the perfect cottage for us again. MC treated us like family and made our stay feel like home! We LOVE Mermaid Cottages!!

They supply you with perc coffee and it is superb I bought two bags at the sisters nearby gift shop there is a convenience store gas station and a nice breakfast place next to that called Dawgs. The crepes are outstanding. It’s also a nice bar and had live music Thursday night. Happy hour the drinks are like half price 4 to 7. Very convenient to everything Pet friendly. My boy Poochie approved lol

Summary: The property was clean and management was very responsive and quick to fix issues. It allowed for space for a small family and the kitchen and bedrooms were well equipped. Location was great, but could be loud at times. I do not recommend this cottage and regret booking it, but mermaid cottages as a company greatly owned up to any challenges we had. The cottage appears to have water damage from previous reviews and on observation of ceiling and walls. It had a strong humid and earthy/musty smell, which made it an uncomfortable stay for us due to breathing issues. We were transferred to another cottage as soon as possible based on shared concerns that was perfect and met all expectations! I wish we had booked that one instead. It was clean, decor was cozy and bright, lots of light and backyard space and it made you want to stay there as long as possible. It was called sea casa and I greatly recommend that cottage and mermaid cottages as a company. I hope they continue to work and improve all their cottages the same to make it a widespread experience for everyone.

Summary: Roses’s Follie was a nice home and it accommodated us three women and our small dog perfectly. Even though it is located on a busy street, it did not bother us. The beach is within walking distance, and we had two beautiful days to spend at the beach. The fenced yard was convenient for our dog. We did not cook during our stay, but the kitchen is stocked well for those that like to cook during their vacation. Communication with the management company was very easy, and they checked in via text a couple of times during our stay. We enjoyed our stay.

The charm, character, and history was evident everywhere we looked. It was exactly perfect being that we did not want some cookie cutter condo to stay in this time. Perfect location, centrally located, but was not noisy. And the customer service was beyond exceptional!! Will not consider any other rental company. We are pro-Mermaid for life!!! 😂

The overall air conditioning was great with a brand new kitchen and very clean and homey ambiance. We enjoyed the house and its location greatly as it was a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse and north beach shoppes and around the corner from a good restaurant - Cockspur Grill (named after the old lighthouse in the Savannah river). Tammy was very attentive and helpful and made sure everything was to our liking.
