Positive: The house is great, so spacious, lots of light, clean, very well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds and good linen. A lovely location and garden. Almost everything was great. We had a really wonderful time staying there.
Negative: The split system struggled to keep the main room warm because of the large open space and high ceilings. It was lovely and cosy with the fire on but there was not enough firewood left for a three night stay. Some of the shade screen blinds in the main room seemed broken and permanently lowered. I contacted the property manager twice over the weekend and received no reply at all.

Positive: The house was surrounded by a lovely garden. Very peaceful location.
Negative: There were 5 of us staying in Daylesford for the Great Aussie Hike. Unfortunately there was only enough hot water for 2 of us to have showers at any one time. There was also not enough hot water to fill the spa, which we were looking forward to after walking 50 km each day. I was also looking forward to starting the fire, but couldn't get it going as only given 4 small pieces of kindling and then much larger logs. There were no firelighters and the gas lighter was empty.
Summary: Basic accomodation in a lovely setting.

Positive: A magical unique tree house with every possible modern convenience including a spacious bathroom, with an excellent shower and an efficient AC system. The fridge was fully stocked with provisions for breakfast & there was an excellent Nespresso coffee machine & a Microwave as well! We were also given a bottle of the excellent local wine. The access up the stairs was more than adequate & all but the infirm would get up easily. Our host, who didnt live on site, was brilliant at keeping in touch & making sure we had everything we needed. He said he didn't speak that much English but it was a huge improvement on our Italian!
