Our gorgeous wooden cottage is available for self-catering breaks and stands by itself with fantastic views.
The bedroom sleeps two persons (Queen Bed). The cottage has an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and WC.
The kitchenette contains all essentials - a two cooking plate, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and all cooking utensils.
Sit on the sofa or armchair with a cup of tea and enjoy the charming scenery.
When the sun is shining, open the patio door or sit outside and enjoy the unspoiled views.
We are very conveniently situated near state highway 1. Oamaru is ten minutes drive away by car and Dunedin is about 1 ¼ hour drive away.
Oamaru and the Waitaki District offer visitors a wide range of activities including the little blue and yellow eyed penguins, the Oamaru Opera House, the Forrester art gallery, a complete historic precinct, restaurants and shopping, the beaches, lakes and much more.
Kakanui Beach is a convenient 10km away and ideal for surfing.
The next ski fields can be found in Kurow and Ohau.
There are also great hunting and fishing opportunities in our area.

Summary: My husband and I were so thankful to be able to stay at this beautiful bach high on a hill with a grand view, and fully equipped with all we needed for our 2 night stay! This bach was fully stocked, clean, comfortable, with a strong internet signal (no TV which is fine by us) quiet, within easy reach of Oamaru, and economical too. We loved it!

Summary: A wonderful and relaxing weekend. Great hosts, much appreciated for their knowledge and advice. A warm and cosy place to spend a weekend. Fantastic views and plenty of things to do, or not to do, as you wish. A good place if you wish to explore the region or history as well. I would personally recommend a couple of nights if you are passing by.

Summary: Very clean and warm with modern bathroom. Handy to Oamaru but in a peaceful rural environment. Very friendly little terrier 'Mr Pickles' was a bonus. Only shortcoming was 2 single beds instead of a double bed but all other amenities were good.

Summary: We had a very good night sleep. It is really all you need to be comfortable, but it feels kind of cold and clinical. I find it hard to relax in such a space. Probably simply a matter of taste.

Summary: We enjoyed the cottage .were very comfortable. Enjoyed the views and location. Far enough out of town but still an easy drive. I left a pair of trainers by mistake and Steph was kind enough to return them for me on her to Christchurch. Very happy to recommend Round Hill Cottage to my friends.
