Positive: Rowan Cottage was a superbly well apportioned "headquarters" for my week of traveling around the eastern Dales. I absolutely loved my time here, and was a little sad when I had to leave. I used it as a base for some touristy January forays I was making into Ripon, Fountains Abbey, and other places in the area, and it was so pleasant to have such a warm, clean, cozy cottage to come back to in the evenings. I made good use of the washing machine, and I'm afraid I devoured all the tasty treats the owners left me as a little welcoming surprise. I'm coming back to Yorkshire in June/July, and I will definitely be booking Rowan Cottage again if it's available. It's such a comfortable "home from home", and I can definitely see why it's so highly rated.
Summary: A cozy, clean "home from home", perfect headquarters for exploring the Eastern Dales
