Positive: The hotel was convenient for walking the Cambrian way which is what were were doing. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast had a good selection of items.
Negative: For the price point, the room was basic compared to other local hotels i have stayed in, considering its a double room, there was only one bed side stand with light, a small table with coffee making facilities and one shabby arm chair, nowhere even to put the cushions from the bed or bedspread, we ended up putting them under the bed. The room felt like it was mid refurbishment - window frames had been painted but the paint on the glass not scraped off. There was no where to put clothes (two hangers in the corner of the room) or toiletries or even a desk if you wanted to work, had to live out of our travel bags. While it looked clean the room smelt strongly of dogs. The cooked breakfast had sausages (pink in the middle) and bacon that were undercooked.

Positive: I had a very pleasant one-night stay at this lovely, old-fashioned hotel in a quiet and picturesque village in Wales. The surroundings are peaceful, and the town is just a short walk away—perfect for a relaxing evening stroll. The staff were all extremely friendly and hardworking, making us feel genuinely welcome. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared—definitely a highlight of the stay! This hotel is a great choice if you're passing through or preparing for a trip to Snowdon. A restful and authentic Welsh experience.

Positive: The room and bathroom were good and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner menu had some excellent curries on offer aswell as the usual fare.
Negative: There was wifi but I couldn't get a connection in my room on the top floor. It was OK everywhere else. Dinner is not available on Mondays, although there is no real problem as there are plenty of options a few hundred yards away. There is a bar but no real ale on offer. Some details are a little tired. For example, it was impossible to keep the sah window open in my room.

Positive: Met by a very helpful reception staff. First impression, great location, some free parking, room was nice size. Clean Bed was comfortable. Towel provided They also provided shampoo, condition and body wash in the bathroom. Selection of coffee/tea/hotchocolate, I’d suggest a couple of bottled waters for the kettle, please. Pub downstairs but quiet room (first floor,street facing)
Negative: Couple of issues Main issue was the odour in the room, not sure if the room was directly above the kitchen but smelt of frying fat. Maybe you could look at individual automatic room air fresheners, The bathroom was compact and had a ledge to the bath that was about an inch, I’m only 5”2, so was a bit of a climb into the bath/shower. I’m not sure if they have had a recent renovation but feels like the room was nearly finished but not quiet, clean, tidy room. Sorry to give an honest opinion, stayed in many a hotel,B&B much potential in this hotel.
Summary: Good location, welcoming, looks nice, just feels not finished in the room.
