Summary: Our stay at The Royal Goat was great. The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was clean and tidy. We booked for breakfast, which was nice. So all told I would recommend it. 👌

Summary: The food, breakfast and especially the evening meals were excellent (there was 12 of us for 2 nights, every meal was good, particularly the curries).the rooms were basic but very clean.no real ale at the bar just lager and cider

Summary: All good. A little pricey at £168 for one night, but to be honest, it was a bank holiday weekend. Good location, really good food, friendly staff and clean. Old building, as to be expected, so you could hear all the creaks, bangs and TVs from the other rooms. Dog friendly which was perfect for us. Would stay again

Summary: Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant duties.
