The house, largely recently renovated, is located 350 meters from the large Royan beach (2.5 kilometers of fine sand with children's club, sand yachting, and 'kite surfing' for sports enthusiasts), in an environment beautiful and very quiet. Four bedrooms (two of which have outside access), three shower rooms, three toilets, lounge-veranda, dining room, open-plan kitchen, four terraces, and a 1,000-square-meter garden to rest under the tall pines rocked by the murmur surf. The house is fully equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, iron, microwave, hairdryer, five-burner stove, nespresso coffee machine, CD player, DVD player, cable TV, stereo, garden furniture, gas barbecue ...) and it has Wi Fi. Linens can be provided at an additional cost. To stock up, a convenience store is 250 meters away. No parking problem in front of the house, even with several cars, but you can also park on the property.
Royan is a very pleasant city, the air is invigorating, the atmosphere relaxed, and you can choose the sea according to your tastes: calm and quiet at the mouth of the Gironde (the large beach near the house), much more hectic a few kilometers away, on the wild coast. For the rest, the resort offers almost all possible distractions: golf, horse riding, tennis, sailing school, jet ski rental, fishing, tree climbing, quad biking, sea trips, cycle paths, volleyball, miniclub, windsurfing board sailing, parachuting, bowling, rides, walks in the Médoc cellars (on the other side of the Estuary, a quarter of an hour by ferry) or at the Cordouan lighthouse, the first structure in France to have been classified as a monument historical... And for foodies, the famous large covered market, an architectural feat of the 1950s, offers an incredible profusion of fish, oysters, crustaceans ... and Charentes melons.

Summary: Quite basic but very pleasant house with a character. Lovely garden and location is good. Although we couldn’t get TV to work and WiFi was so slow that we had to use 3G, we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Summary: This is a wonderful house in a beautiful location. The house has everything you need and is a short distance from the beautiful small town of St George de Didonne. Our little girl loved exploring the many areas of the garden and brilliant to be so close to be beach. It's not often we return to the same place as there is so much to explore in the world but this is a house we certainly hope to return to!

Summary: This lovely house was everything we hoped it would be. It is spacious, clean and very well equipped with everything you could need. The location is peaceful but still ideally situated to access the beaches and shops of this beautiful coast. The lady who greeted us was charming and very helpful and the owners have been very easy to contact and speak great English. The gardens are delightful and our son loved exploring the different areas. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you for making our stay in Royan a lovely one.

Summary: We’ve had an absolutely wonderful time at the villa “Summertime”. The charming house is very clean, well-equipped, quite and, last but not least, very close to the sea. As for the garden, it’s a delight !

Summary: Nous sommes une famille de trois enfants (5, 8 et 12) et nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans cette maison située dans une pinède. Les chambres sont jolies et confortables, la cuisine est un peu petite, mais très fonctionnelle, et la mer est vraiment au bout de la rue. En plus, l'accueil a été sympathique et les propriétaires se sont montrés arrangeants (nous avons cassé un grand parasol, ils ne nous ont rien fait payer, c'est assez rare pour être signalé). Nous reviendrons.
