Nestled on oak studded land, awaits The Forge. A rustic cabin in the woods with 3 bedrooms and a loft. The cabin sleeps a total of 12 (one is a futon upstairs with extra sheets and blankets in the closets and the other is a blow up bed.) There is also a 10x10' bungalow with a futon 20 steps from the main cabin with a futon that can be an additional sleeping option for an extra person or private getaway.
This property is perfect for those wanting to experience rustic nature with lots of trees. There is tons of open space for kids to run around and ride bikes down a long gravel drive. Adult supervision of kids is recommended due to the home being surrounded by so much nature.
The cabin has a large, open floor plan concept perfect for large groups to gather around the kitchen. Professionally decorated with a modern, hip style.
There is gas grill on the back porch and a fully stocked kitchen, Keurig coffee maker, espresso maker, pots and pans, silverware, toaster and plenty of dishes.
Enjoy water sports on Lake Bridgeport, which is a brief 10 minute drive, with rental boats, fishing and marina.
Please note that due to the location of the property being a heavily wooded area, the Internet service has limited bandwidth and streaming capability. There's a TV screen that can be hooked up to a device but there is NO Cable service provided.

Summary: Such a beautiful, quiet cabin for a family gathering. My family and I had a fantastic stay. This cabin was perfect for a birthday getaway. The host really made the stay as lovely as possible with comfy and clean beds. I would definitely stay again.

Summary: We are beyond impressed with the beautiful property. We went through a private gate into a very wooded secluded area. Enjoyed our stay with family and friends. Wish we could be there longer enjoyed our time by the campfire and made lots of memories. We plan to come back as often as possible this summer!!!!!

Summary: Lovely property. Lots of beautiful decor really added to feeling it was a special place, well appointed kitchen. Tranquility, comfy beds, we traveled at the highet heat of the Texas summer and the home stayed cool. We cooked a 4 course meal perfectly , started a puzzle, sparklers outside. It was a time to set the phone down and enjoy the quiet space. Easy 5 stars, albeit the winter the home would be great at the holidays. Checking the calendar now. Thanks for sharing which can only be a hidden jem in the vrbo bucket of proprties.

Summary: Highly recommend for a family getaway or celebration. Only 20 minutes from highway. Large, open spaces. Master on one side of house with its own porch. Other bedrooms (including an upstairs loft) on the other side. Excellent spaces for entertaining. VERY quiet. Zero road noise. Nice linens and comfortable beds. Home has lovely art, furniture and lighting throughout. Bring your own puzzles, board games and a few good books.

Summary: It was great, such a beautiful cabin with many beds. Owner was great at communication and we had a couple small issues during our stay which she paid attention to and responded to messages immediately! Overall would recommend. Pet friendly as well!

Summary: I booked a very last minute, same day, reservation and Jennifer was so nice to make the exception for us to stay there even though we were beyond the reservation cut off time. Jennifer immediately took charge and arranged for the housekeeper to come out at the last minute and the cabin was nice and clean by the time we arrived. It is really hard to find people this day and time who are truly genuine, nice and caring and I really felt as if I had known Jennifer for a long time. My husband, son and I enjoyed quiet and secluded family time together without any distractions. I especially loved sitting out at the fire pit. The cabin is well appointed and cutely decorated with a modern chic appeal. This was a great alternative to booking a hotel getaway during Covid and the seclusion and open country air offered much more freedom from mask regulations. I will definitely book this cabin again and again without hesitation!
