Summary: We really enjoyed a week on Baskatong lake. The cottage is very cozy and has everything you need. The beach is long and beautiful. The host showed us area and responded to all our questions very quickly.

Summary: Rainer and Grace are wonderful hosts, they were warm, kind and helpful. They were truly dedicated to making our stay as easy and relaxing as possible. The house itself was lovely, very rustic and charming, you feel like you are visiting a friend’s home. Everything was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, from small appliances to tons of spices. The beds were all extremely comfortable, and the linens clean and soft. The only thing we missed in the house was that maybe a few more table or floor lamps would be nice, especially in the Living Room where we found it hard to read with the overhead light only. Both the Sauna and the Hot Tub were a real treat, especially since we could finish with a refreshing swim in the lake. One of our favourite parts of this place was the shaded lookout above the beach. The view was spectacular and the seats were comfortable. My mother spent the majority of our visit there! The beach was much prettier than I thought it would be, with a nice mixture of sand, pebbles and some beautiful pieces of driftwood. Plus no seaweed at all! The views from the beach were spectacular, there is a sandy cove to one side but most of the view face out far onto the large lake and islands in the distance. Rainer was nice enough to take us out on his pontoon for a tour and left us to enjoy a picnic on a delightful sandy island, which we had all to ourselves. We are so thankful to Grace and Rainer for making our holiday so special on stunning Reservoir Baskatong.

Summary: Grand-Remous is the perfect location if you are looking for a quiet place with nice sandy beaches. The cottage is exactly as advertised, very clean and well equipped. Hosts are very welcoming, friendly and easy to communicate with. We stayed here with two kids (12 and 14). We did several canoe and kayak trips to near-by islands and you can rent a small motor boat (fishing boat) at the campground (Chez Rainville) just across the road to reach many islands with lovely sandy beaches. It's also worth visiting the hiking trails of "Les sentier des chutes de la montage de GRAND-REMOUS", which has nice water falls. We highly recommend this cottage.

Summary: I stayed here with my wife, 2 children and parents. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and comfortable cottage provided by Rainer, the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. The cottage is rustic and well furnished and we didn’t lack for anything. We enjoyed our week away from the city and would definitely stay again.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Rainer is the best host, super hospitable and made us feel at home. Beautiful nature, beach and islands. The cottage is one of its kind which left us entertained even on rainy days. We will definitely come back.

Summary: We stayed one week with our 2 kids. The lake was amazing with our own beach. A great place over the lake to eat. It is the best place if you like to be on the lake. The shack had a lot of personality and was rustic. You don’t go there for luxury, you go there for Rainer and its hospitality and the view.
