Our Rustic Get-Away is a Fully Furnished 3 bedroom mobile home complete with: 3 bedrooms/queen beds, 1 full bathroom/tub and shower, washer/dryer, cozy living room with 2 full sofas, 1 love seat, wood stove and alternative electric heat and evaporative cooler, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances including dishwasher, microwave, dishes and cookware. The cozy furnishings also include Wi-Fi, two Smart TV's, DVD/VCR players with a large variety of DVD's and videos, and original art by Larry Christensen. Relax inside, or on the screened porch to enjoy the view and mountain air, or in 10 minutes be in the La Sal Mountains to enjoy the scenery and a variety of activities. Great location to get away from cities and crowds, but close enough to drive into Moab for all the festivities offered there year round. The peace and quiet offered in this beautiful mountain setting nestled between Pine Ridge and Mount Peale is medicinal with a breathtaking view! This rustic mountain get-away may not be fancy on the outside, but it's clean, cozy and comfortable on the inside with all the comforts of home. This was our family's cabin for many years, and now that we have built our home next door, and live here permanently, we love sharing it as a vacation rental. If you're looking for a high end resort with swimming pool and tennis courts, this isn't for you! But if you're looking for Clean, Cozy and Comfortable with a view like no other, and a medicinal quiet in a place that feels like home, we think you'll enjoy our little get-away. And.....we don't charge high end prices!!!

Summary: This was such a wonderful place to stay! Quiet with beautiful views and both the hosts and the home made us all feel very welcomed and comfortable. So so lovely. We are all planning on booking again both separately and as a group! Best hosts you could ever ask for! It was my girlfriends birthday and they made her signs and special treats! It was so perfect! The communication was always very pleasant and prompt. Just a very cool experience all around! :)

Summary: We loved our stay in LaSal! We chose it so we could visit Moab, Arches National Park and Canyonlands. It was nice to come back to this peaceful place each night. The hosts Kathy and Larry go above and beyond to make you comfortable!

Summary: Very clean and enjoyable. Spent nights on the porch which had a beautiful view of the mountains! We’re planning on using the fire pit but the weather didn’t cooperate. Beds we’re comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Hosts were fabulous!! Only minus might be the couches are a little used. Would stay again!!

Summary: Place was wonderful. Had it all. Mountains right there, close enough to Moab and away from the tourist area. Stars galore and peace and quiet. Could not ask for better hosts. Larry has great stories and should write a book. Kathy is Superwoman and a blast to talk to. Hope during your stay you are lucky enough to meet them. Could not ask for nicer place for the money and now have friends 1500 miles away that we plan on staying in touch with. If you are looking for a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing you can relax by the fire pit or enjoy the large front porch and watch mule deer saunter by in front of you. If you do meet Kathy, ask her about Nicky. Can't say enough good things about the place or host. We were there during the spring runoff and the creeks were full and gorgeous with clear snow runoff. The plants in Canyonlands and Arches were in full bloom. May is the time to be there. Just be aware that this place is 7500 ft above sea level and the temps there are between 10 and 15 degrees cooler than in Moab. Kathy's signature lemon cake will be waiting for you and it is really something special. We have never stayed at a place that was so well stocked.There was even a dozen eggs in the refrigerator. Their welcome book is required reading and you be entertained and educated by it. Larry is an exceptional artist and the place is filled with his work. If you are lucky enough to be invited over it is a thrill to go through his studio and see some of the things he has done. The short drive to Moab is never boring and you will climb almost 3500 feet on the way there so enjoy the experience.

Summary: Our week long stay was great! Plenty of cooking supplies and staples were provided for us to prepare meals. Property location was great for us as we spent days going south to Canyonlands NP Needles District and days going north to Arches NP and Moab. La Sal store has reasonable prices and variety of goods, but is not open extended hours. We enjoyed several movies available at the property and the Wi-Fi. Highly recommend renting this property!

Summary: We decided to stay at the Rustic Get-Away to avoid hotels and traffic in town. The experience felt like we were staying at Grandma's house. It was cozy and comforting. My 3 elementary aged kids loved it! Their favorite part was all the snow they could play in surrounding the house. The owner was very kind and even let them borrow one of his grandkids sleds. I loved that we could cook all our meals and have a comfortable place to relax in the evenings. We visited Canyonlands NP and Arches NP. The needles district was our favorite part of Canyonlands (due to less people going there) and the location of the house was great for visiting that portion of the park. It was a bit of a commute to the other parks/locations but it's such a lovely drive I thought it was worth it. The quiet and the millions of stars at night were my favorite.

Summary: Kathy and Larry are very thoughtful hosts, supplying the property with everything you might need for your stay. We looked forward to returning “home” at the end of each busy day of visiting the nearby National Parks. The view from the screened porch is great and the birds, deer and other wildlife are fun to watch. We want to go back!

Summary: This is hospitality business at its best. We have stayed for two weeks in August 2022. The house is very clean. The WiFi connection works. The property description is correct. The kitchen is fully functional. All appliances work. The house was well provided with towels and all kinds of conveniences. The location is excellent. The neighborhood is safe. The owner made significant efforts to transform our vacation into a wonderful experience. We hope to come back again.

Summary: It may be "rustic" in some ways, but was very comfortable with modern, upgraded bathroom (with tub/shower) and kitchen (with newer dishwasher, oven/stove, fridge, microwave). Two TVs, movies, tons of dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen gear. Washer and drier too. The swamp cooler worked well to keep the trailer comfie during the day, and the two space heaters can take the chill off in the early am, if needed. Plenty of privacy. and seclusion, with gorgeous views of the La Sals. The hosts baked us a delicious cake and provided eggs, popcorn, hot chocolate, tea, and assorted condiments if we wanted to use them. We will be back.
