Summary: The Keurig coffee machine did not work at all disappointing! Soap, bar and shampoo was left by the bathtub from the previous people.

Summary: The Rustic Inn appeared to be unmainained and pretty run down. My recommendation: there are other Park Rapids lodging options that would be much better.

Summary: I arrived early to the motel having let them know I’d be coming at noon, but was unable to get an early check-in because the codes are pre-programmed for 3 o’clock check-in only and no one on site has the ability to override. There was no mirror in the room, which made it hard to get ready for an event we were headed to. Air-conditioning would only run for about 60 minutes at a time and then we had to stop it and start it in the middle of the night. There were not outlets on both sides of the bed and only a table on one side. The mattress had some sort of heavy plastic covering on it, which made it very uncomfortable in the middle of the night as the body temperature grew.. the toilet looked like it was designed for a toddler not a full-size adult. All in all it looked like a Handyman, who shopped at the clearance section at Menards, put together the hardware and design of the room.. I definitely recommend looking for something else if you’re staying in Park Rapids

Summary: Room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking and there were no mirrors in the room to get ready in the morning. Owner was responsive, but they had no other rooms to move us to.

Summary: Nice enough place. Office appears to be permanently closed and unstaffed, so check in was by phone. It was quick and efficient, and the person on the phone sounded nice, but it felt a bit odd and impersonal. No breakfast, obviously! No pool, if that's important to you. Room was clean and the knotty pine trim was a warm touch. Beds n pillows were on the soft side but comfy enough. Windows on each end of the room, and in the bathroom, open up, so if you like fresh air, there is an actual cross-venting opportunity (loved that!). There was a fist-sized hole punched in the wall in Room 8, and the toilet paper dispenser had been ripped off and not replaced, but toilet paper was within handy reach, so details like these did not detract for us. In fact it added some character to a "rustic" room. If you want a chain motel experience, this probably ain't it. We got a nice, clean, comfy, fresh room, with no nasty smells from the past, and we slept all the better for that. Overall, we felt our double beds room was a little pricey, but it was competitive for the area in summer time. Would we recommend it? Yeah, if you're not picky, it's a nice place to sleep n shower in Park Rapids, walking distance to the park and Main Street.

Summary: The king bed was comfortable. The AC unit worked well and was much appreciated because it was a hot week of weather. The bathroom should have had grab bars in the shower. The toilet seat was extremely low making it difficult to use. Had to use a hand towel as a shower mat. No instructions on how to request replacement towels. Room refrigerator worked well. We didn’t use the room microwave or coffee maker that was provided . We booked for a week stay. This accommodation would be better suited for one or two nights stay.

Summary: Room, bathroom and bedding were all clean. You can see recent updates have been made and all standard room items were newer (fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker). Outside property could use some sprucing up, mainly picking up the random 2x4s laying around and lawn/weed care. Check-in was pretty smooth, staff I met were friendly! Overall a good experience for the price and I appreciated being able to bring my dog.

Summary: The value of the stay was excellent and worth the the nightly rate. However, the place was quite dirty, outlets coming out of the wall, no battery in the smoke detector. The A/C didn’t work when we got there but the manager/owner was very helpful and walked me through a solution. All in all, a good deal for the money.

Summary: This room was so reasonably priced, I didn't know what to expect. It was great for the price. The mattress was comfortable. The location was quiet, but convenient. The bathroom was updated and pleasant but the rest of the room could stand a little upgrading. The carpet is old and not the cleanest. A laminate floor would really spruce it up. Otherwise, check is was a breeze. They sent us a code for the door so we didn't have to stop at a front desk or bother anyone.
