Positive: Central to activities planned in a pleasant and convenient part of town. Comfortable bed. Ample toiletries and towels supplied.
Negative: The room thus year, had a ‘hum’ overnight, ? Origin and occasional cooking odours apparent. Sad that the bar closed at 9pm to patrons returning to the hotel on the Sunday eve.
Summary: Good value for money in an ideal location. We will return in a future trip.

Positive: Absolutely fabulous staff, amenities and food, cannot speak highly enough of the courtesy we were shown. One of the best places to stay in our numerous trips around the North Island. There was only one thing that has stopped this review getting a 10++++. We would have told the manager had he been there when we booked out this morning, but felt telling staff was not the correct procedure. The bed!!
Negative: The bed was so uncomfortable, we honestly could not sleep. It was too firm and too small. The size of the room was large by modern standards so put a king size bed in the room. Please just change the bed it's far too uncomfortable. Everything exceeded our expectations except THE BED.

Positive: The location and convenience of being in town. The continental breakfast was great and the staff really helpful.
Negative: The shower had little pressure and could do with replacing. A shower with no bath would be a better alternative. The TV wasn’t the easiest to use so we didn’t end up using it.

Negative: A couple nice comfy lounge chairs in room would be better than the upright chairs in room.
