Positive: Lovely location, very peaceful mostly ( farmers working around the cottage who start early!) Nice watching the lambs in the field opposite 🙂 and good detailed information for a beautiful walk around the area. We had some lovely fresh eggs from one of the houses on the walk Lovely touch with the welcome pack on arrival
Negative: Quite a way to any shopping facility or food option. We hadn't realised and only bought breakfast items with us thinking we could eat out for dinner. Takeaways were scarce and we had to go to Withernsea and queue for a long time to get a chippy tea (Newton's queues were out of the door down the road!) May be worth noting. We had our dog with us which did limit our options (there are some pubs around within a drive) but it was niggling having to drive around for over an hour trying to find somewhere

Positive: It is a place for peace and contemplation. Simple ,functional and secluded. In a sweet little working hamlet. Mostly farms. Enveloped by country side, nature and in close proximity to a wonderful wild beach. A mile and a bit walk will take you to the to the mouth of the Hull river and views of Grimsby and flat wash ,teeming with wildlife. Also it connects you with the costal path towards Spurn Head. I love the unspoiled honesty of its setting.

Positive: The house is gorgeous, very comfortable and well thought out. We had everything we needed and more. We especially loved being able to light the fire in the sitting room. The cooker was great, the kitchen well equipped. The welcome hamper was fantastic, thank you so much! The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting Spurn Point. It’s so quiet and peaceful and lovely to have a horse in the field at the back.
