Positive: It is a very cozy and nice hotel which is only a 5 minute walk from the sea and a 20 minute walk to Saint-Florent via the beach. Highly recommend this hotel. Pros: - Sea view from the balcony - Good pool times, 9-21 - There are 2 washing machines which are free to use 24/7 and a washing rack on the balcony available - Fridge + freezer for storing food - Good availability of kitchen items (plates, bowls, cutlery, pots and pans) - Very friendly people and safe area as it should be apartments that are owned as well as those that are rented out which means that there are a lot of people on the move - Nice harbor inside Saint Florent with lots of people on the move with nice shops, restaurants, grocery store, boat trips, bakery and a small market in the evenings. - There are a few different breakfast places if you would like to eat at the port, we tried L'escale and Le p'tit dernier where the former offered the best breakfast. The price of both was €8 per person in both places. - Fresh fruit can be bought cheaply at Utile, just a stone's throw from Spar. - Fresh pastries and baguettes can also be bought inside Saint Florent at U Nebbiusellu, which has good prices.
Negative: Cons: - Only 9 sunbeds by the pool, can get very fast during certain times. - No AC, only a small fan, can get a little warm in the room. It is recommended to bring your own fan to get better air in the room. - A bit difficult to communicate with the people on the island as English is limited. Knowing Italian and French is preferable. - The availability of taxis is limited from the airport as well as inside the city. We waited 40 minutes for a taxi to come to the airport taxi ranks. It is recommended to use a website like https://montransport.com to quickly and easily get a taxi available, it is also possible to pre-book if you would like to do it before a journey there or home. - The restaurant selection is largely the same in most restaurants. - When we arrived at the hotel at 16:30 (check-in 16:00) the room was not ready and we had to wait for 1.5 hours before it was ready.
