Positive: The staff were very nice and service minded. Located just on the beach that was cleaned from debris everyday. Clean water and soft sand..Very quiet and serene.

Negative: The resort is old and not well maintained. Water in bathroom flowing out on the floor, lights not working, beds hard. It has potential but it needs to be better taken care of.

Positive: Such a hidden gem - amazing offer for the price, right on the beach. I had the garden room, and I have to say it was a really good choice. It really looks like the resort is run but women because they have great attention to details. The room has a hair dryer, a small fridge and even mosquito nets - so you can sleep without AC and wake up with the sound of the birds. Good internet speed (they even have a 5G network). The beach is also very nice, plenty of beach chairs and amazing sunsets.

Negative: Would be great to have the option to pay by card (even with extra fee) since there is only 1 atm on the entire island

Positive: Nice room, very friendly and helpful staff, cute dogs. Very good location (there’re nice restaurants and cafes nearby)

Negative: The beach can be very dirty with trash when it’s windy but I saw the resort owner cleans up the beach in the morning

Positive: We were upgraded to a bungalow due to overbooking.... thank you. The bungalow & bathroom was clean, very spacious, fairly well equipped and had some books to read which was a nice touch. Fairly good WiFi. Reasonable air con. Well designed fly screens to prevent bugs. Bedside lighting is a nice touch. A bit of a sea view. Nice restaurant/ cafe area and loungers right on beach. We got fresh towels & water when we asked.

Negative: Bathroom felt a bit dated and in need of an upgrade. In fact lots of things about the resort are starting to feel a little frayed at the edges compared to other resorts so we ended up hanging out nearer the pier where the beach and atmosphere felt nicer. Some cosmetic tidying up of the landscaping would definitely help. Maybe it's because Sabai is at the end of the strip and feels like the less well kept area of the beach. It could just be the time of year but there was a LOT of litter on the beach and in the sea. The resorts all do their bit but personally I also picked up litter every day. Maybe more litter hero baskets all along the beach so everyone can do their bit?? Next to Sabai is an abandoned lot with so much litter collecting on the beach... whilst we realise this isn't anything to do with Sabai, it still has a direct impact on guests and ultimately lead to us leaving Koh Mak and returning to Koh Chang which we felt was far cleaner.

Positive: Fantastic for the price! Very good beach for swimming. The bar is one of the nicest on the island. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Walking distance for good options of restaurants and minimart. The nicest dogs you'll ever meet.

Negative: Very minor things only - the kayak is not free, but it is not clearly stated there is a small fee per time of usage.

Positive: You can easily relax here, it's right on the beautiful quite beach. Location is perfect, close to restaurants and the shop. Bungalow is not the new one but it's clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Negative: They don't clean the rooms every day, which if fine for us, but it would be good if they empty the trash and provide the water.
