Positive: This was a lovely place that we thoroughly enjoyed, well furnished, clean, quiet, spacious, well equipped. The room itself was spacious, but there is also a large shared living area and kitchen, plus outdoor terrace for communal use and the garden area. There’s coffee and beer available for a small fee and a large fridge freezer for guest use. Private off-road parking spaces available right outside. It’s an easy 20 minute walk along a forest path to the edge of the old-town. Considerably more strenuous uphill on the way back. The owner is nearby should queries or issues arise. Wish we had time to stay for a week and really enjoy the lovely surroundings, the nearby lake, the views and the fabulous night sky. Highly recommended.
Negative: Not a dislike, but just be aware there are no retail facilities nearby and there are many stairs.

Positive: We found the guest house a very nice place, managed with great care. Guests treated with kindness and given help, (with useful pieces of information, how to explore the neighbourhood). We liked the harmony between nature and the historical town of Selmecbánya (Banska Stiavnica), the house offered an excellent opportunity to enjoy both of them. For us was a bonus, that many things, many beauties are in walking distance.
