Summary: My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Saddleback Lake, enjoying the best that Summertime Maine can provide! Our unit was clean and comfortable, and the town of Rangely has many fun shops to browse, and tasty food to sample! Special thanks to the loons for their daily appearances and nighttime serenades.

Summary: A perfect getaway-from-it-all cabin with a magnificent view of Saddleback Lake from the screened-in porch. Comfortable for 4 people, 6 if you have two people who want to sleep in loft. Great bathroom, well-appointed kitchen. We just booked again for 2024, what better reference could I give?

Summary: This was an awsome opportunity to get away and spend time with the family. The only complaint was the rain. The area had many of fun things to do with the kids. The hikes provided novist but challenges for both kids to middle age grammy. The shops were great fun! We were able to get a glimpse at some Maine wildlife too. We all kept nurished at nearby restaraunts and the cabin made it easy to cook and eat in too. Our cabin was comfortable, neat and spacious, we played games and watched movies. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you Cheryl Smith

Summary: This was our 2nd stay at this cabin on Saddleback Pond. We love the cabin and was glad for the propane heater. Mornings were cool...42 or so, but then there were the glorious 75 degree days and we lounged on the dock . We even had visits from a pair of loons and an otter! The leaves were at their peak. Breathtaking. We relaxed, grilled at night, read, and visited some of the local eateries. We even made it to Quill Hill for a 360 degree view of the area and all the colors! No moose sighting this trip... oh well. We'll be back!

Summary: They were multiple units located near each other and some of the units were occupied by owners, I'm not sure if they were the owners of our unit or not but regardless they were incredibly rude to my guests, to my husband and to myself. We were not told about designated parking areas before arrival or upon arrival. Some of the neighborhood watch decided they would make sure we needed to move our cars and anytime that we had a car parked near the home which we did regularly for elderly family who couldn't walk the distance to the parking area they would harass us. Also traveling with a teenager and a toddler I did not pack clothing to make it for the full 11 days as I had found a place with a washer and dryer included. There was actually no washer and dryer on the property only a cleaning service in town. The unit was advertised to have a TV which is relatively important for a toddler. The only TV was located upstairs in the loft which was gotten to by a glorified ladder. It was not safe for my 3-year-old to climb up and down. The internet which I was promised was good quality, which I clarified prior to coming due to having to work during my trip was terrible. If more than one person in the home or in the other units on the property we're on the internet it was very very very little service. Last but not least the most upsetting part of our trip was the glorified Beach area. The pond being just that a pond was full of leeches. There was no way I could let my little girl in the water when I could see them visibly all over the place. The beach itself was covered in goose poop so there was no buildings and castles or playing. I most certainly will not be staying here again.

Summary: Rangeley is beautiful in June. The lupines were in full bloom. We saw 2 moose, many deer and a very healthy porcupine...all at a distance. Oh, and the loons were so vocal in the evening... We loved that. The cabin was perfect and we really enjoyed the screened in porch which faced the lake and the ski runs over at Saddleback Mt. The lake was a bit cool for swimming. We drove up Quill Hill for great vista shots. The town was starting to get busy and we took advantage of the shops, ice cream, and a few eateries. Loon Lodge for dinner is a must, but you will need a reservation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and a hot, strong shower!!! And there were plenty of quilts and blankets for the chilly nights. We stayed 4 nites and never turned on the TV. We will be coming back to Rangeley again.

Summary: The unit was clean, and situated close to the lake! Such lovely lake views! The kitchen was well stocked w appropriate pots, pans, and accoutrements. We enjoyed using the charcoal grill and the canoe. Only negative was the worn furniture on the screened porch, and we were expecting chairs on the deck (which we saw in the on line pictures), but were not present. The location is fabulous, with swimming and boating and hiking available just steps from the front door!! Thanks for sharing this lovely spot with us!

Summary: Our family needed a weekend away and we found a slice of paradise here. Wonderful screened in porch with water view, super comfy beds, great access to the water with the canoe that came with the house. All paddles and life jackets were available but we had brought our own. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, utensils and grilling gear. Our only issue was no WiFi ( as cellular does NOT work here). The agency got the WiFi turned back on but it still didn't work. But they did power up the landline so in an emergency we would have access to help. This was a great stay at a great cabin. We'll be back for sure.

Summary: The cabin that my colleague and I were guided to by Morton & Furbish when we were attending a conference/ vacation in Rangeley was idyllic. The cabin was beautiful, and beautifully situated. The furnishings and decor were beautiful as well. The kitchen and housekeeping supplies were more minimal. The amazing staff from M&F spent an afternoon locating a teapot and an iron for us(!!!!) The entire experience of the cottage, the surroundings, the people I encountered while swimming in the lake were superb. The staff from M&F made us feel like we were being taken care of by extended family. When we had some fellow conference attendees over to visit, they were in awe of the beauty of our environment. We were too!
