The cottage was where the builder lived while he built the first house in the street in Port Kembla, the industrial heart of Wollongong. "Port" is a place the locals' love, and is full of people who are happy to share their suburb. There is a big artists community, and the owners are artists and musicians. The cottage has been recently renovated and has its own rose garden, small outdoor fireplace and is totally private. Port has three beaches, a great ocean swimming pool, is just south of Wollongong, and five minutes by car from the Nan Tien Temple. Within an hours drive of Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Kiama, Robertson and the Southern Highlands. Twenty minutes walk from Port Kembla railway station.

Summary: We were so pleased to find a place where we could take our little dog. Tim was helpful and available with any assistance required, however, everything was thought of in the cosy little cottage and we had no need to call on him.

Summary: A cute and cosy cottage tucked away in a private garden - perfect for lazy afternoons spent reading books in the sun after a day at the beach. The location is great too - just a quick stroll to local shops, cafes and galleries. If you're up for a drive, you can easily explore the start of the South Coast and the Illawarra region from Port Kembla. We loved our stay here and can't wait to return. Thank you Tim and family for being such a flexible and generous host!

Summary: My partner and I were travelling up the east coast of NSW and stayed with Tim for 2 nights. The access to the property was easy and comfortable for our 2 dogs. Tim has 2 great dogs who are very friendly. Great location close to the dog beach. Would definitely recommend to other travellers with Dogs.

Summary: This is the perfect place for a woman travelling alone to stay. Sadies is a dear little cottage tucked away in the back garden of the owners' home. Completely private with a fenced yard to keep your pets in and others out. The cottage itself is an eclectic mix of art and intersting furniture, lovingly cobbled together to create an old fashioned ambience of comfort, character and charm. It has a well equiped kitchen and generally has all the mod cons you need. I stayed in winter so the heaters were appreciated. There is a lovely rambling garden and a little outdoor fireplace with a grilling rack. In short, I found the cottage clean, unpretentious, comfortable, cosy and safe. The cottage location is a perfect base to explore everything this historic and picturesque area has to offer. The owners, Tim and Ann were as helpful as I needed them to be. I arrived to find fresh milk and a really lovely bottle of wine in the fridge. Which was appreciated. I loved my stay at Sadies - Thank you Tim and Ann. Sincerely Helen P.S. If you are concerned that because Sadies is, pet friendly, it might have that-'smell,' you don't need to worry. Not a single flea bite ( I am allergic so would know) and no unpleasant odours. Summary: Private garden which was enclosed so my dog could go out Tim was very helpful and friendly. Very pet friendly Fresh milk provided as well as a nice bottle of wine. Comfy bed, Bathroom spacious, heaps of towels etc Fully functioning kitchen Tv could do with an upgrade I will come again 😊
