Positive: Saida's house is a wonderful addition to any itinerary for those seeking an authentic experience of life on a Berber farm. As someone who lives in the city, I found it refreshing and fun to stay in a place surrounded by animals and beautiful herb and vegetable gardens. We also went on a scenic hike to a nearby Berber village, guided by Saida's brother Hamid, the route was stunning and truly memorable. We absolutely loved the meals arranged for us. Saida was incredibly kind and even prepared my favorite Moroccan breakfast dishes upon request.
Summary: Add this to your itinerary for a truly authentic experience with a Berber family

Positive: Saida runs an excellent guesthouse. She was incredibly helpful, providing us with a packed lunch and making sure we had somewhere safe to store our bikes. The rooms are basic but have comfortable beds and a really good shower. The staff were exceptional - the best we experienced in Morocco. The setting is beautiful and the house itself is really interesting.
Negative: The rooms get very hot in summer!

Positive: First impressions when we arrived were a bit daunting. However, when we were met from beautiful Saida, and stepping into her beautiful home, it really was a WOW moment. Home away from home. Saida and her beautiful family were so hospitable, caring, and gentle people. The food was just amazing. The guided tour from Saida's brother was also very good. Saida, you are such an amazing, talented, and passionate person. I wish you all the very best in your journey. Thank you very much

Positive: This is a very unique establishment. I spent 4 nights in such a tranquil setting, waking up to cockerels, donkeys braying, goats bleating and just simply observing the Berber way of life. The meals served were really tasty and authentic berber cuisine. Watching the women collecting mint leaves from the surrounding countryside, the goatherds gathering their flock from the rocky pastures and bringing them back into the village, the ladies baking the flat breads over open fires and so much more. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the chaos of Marrakech to take the bus to Amizmiz, where Saida will arrange for her driver to collect you and bring you to her village. Lunch and dinner is €20 per day plus the cost of her driver both ways. It's a haven of tranquility with some lovely walks flanked by acres of oleander bushes. Take a good book and walking shoes. You'll love it!
Negative: Nothing to dislike.
Summary: A wonderful insight into Berber life.

Positive: I liked the lunch and the hospitality and I liked the trip by car with a knowledgeable local guide to the Berber villages that was arranged by the host Saida. And I liked how she campaigned for Berber women and tries to inspire them to start businesses and make some money.
Negative: I read on instagram that the animals (cats, donkeys, dogs and chickens) were treated well here but upon arriving I could not agree to that. Yes the chickens were well taken care of. The cats were shy but being tolerated and fed. The donkeys however, were also taken care of in means of food but the were crept in there places by ropes on their legs which caused nasty sores. If only they build a nice fence they can stay in the stable without ropes. The worst of were the dogs. They are seen as disease spreaders, and impure and are not allowed in houses or carpets. This is widely spread throughout Islamic countries, but when I see the miserable conditions they live in near a guesthouse where tourists come then I hope that tourist can bring a change to this traditional mistreatment of dogs. In this case they were chained with iron thread around the neck or a really tight chain, strangling them if they moved. One had puppies that roamed around freely scrounging around for food and she couldn’t reach them to protect them or care for them as she liked. The strangling threads made sores around their necks. And all of them really hungry. The hostess explained that this is the traditional way there and not like in our western culture. They are seen as possible rabies spreaders and they believe that you would get rabies by only touching their fur… like I said I know it is hard to change believes and traditions, but I have also seen that tourists (and the money they bring) can make changes. Slowly
Summary: Welcoming Berber womansrights hostess that can make the stay perfect by caring more for her animals.

Positive: Saida was a very good host and we had amazing food! We did a trip to the ceramics village which was so beautiful, but the most beautiful part was the hike. All the food is fresh from the garden and we did a lovely cooking class. The breakfast was truly amazing!! Would recommend going as a couple or family. It is a bit difficult to get to, so it was very good that we could book transport with them.
Negative: I didn’t completely know when things would happen, but everything happened that we booked and it was lovely
Summary: Would recommend to friends and family
