Positive: Rena and Constantinos's family house was perfect, it had everything we needed for our stay and they helped us find a local shop and a family run restaurant. Would recommend!

Positive: The host (Rena) was extraordinary: she was kind, responded quickly, gave us elaborate instructions on how to get to the accommodation, she was funny and enthusiastic. We did not have a plan for dinner, but since there are very limited (to none) options in town, she suggested to call a small restaurant in Kampos, the town next to Chakistra. She even arranged for us to be brought home after an evening of dinner, drinks and Cypriotic dances! The accommodation was big, had a stunning view, had enough rooms and a sufficient kitchen.
Negative: No airconditioning available (but that is mentioned already in the facilities)

Positive: This is a wonderful house which was ideal for our overnight stay to sleep over, it has everything what you need. The balcony with a Mountain View offers unique experience, the area is worth exploring. The host kindly recommended eateries in a neighbourhood area and we were driven back home after the dinner which was very nice of the host to organise that.
Negative: The springs in one of the beds were a bit unstable and noisy which when you move may be a bit disturbing, including fellow sleepers in the room. But we were not bothered much by that.

Positive: The host was very helpful, cannot fault them at all! If you are looking for a very unique stay - this is it! Plenty of cooking utensils, dog friendly, cute little peaceful village.
Negative: We accidentally booked the 2 bedroom home without checking the photos - the 45 pictures displayed are a mix of different properties, you have to click specifically on the 2 bed house to see the photos (my bad!) Check in was chaotic.. instead of sending a pin or location we had to facetime the owner whilst navigating tiny paved roads. The house didn't have any windows and was absolutely freezing - we had to buy wood for the fire.. it wasn't included. House inside was chaotic too - there's just stuff everywhere, drawers are full, shrines, doilies, tablecloths, like knick knacks, bowls of fake fruit - it's just not what we expected - my fault totally - we didnt check the pictures.. the floors throughout were also grimy.
Summary: Host was amazing, house was disappointing.. leaving an honest review.

Positive: I appreciate the appeal of staying somewhere very rural, and the hosts were very helpful.
Negative: Unfortunately, despite the hosts being attentive, the basics just weren’t covered for this stay to be enjoyable. These basics would include providing wood for the fire when it’s a cold evening and there’s nowhere you can even buy any, leaving sugar and milk for coffee, instructions / warnings about the temperamental hot water so your guests don’t have to have cold showers, warning guests that the advertised ‘on site’ restaurant / coffee shop is in fact not on site, and that it’s also closed during winter evenings. Generally just things to make your guests not feel like an afterthought. It was if we arrived by surprise!
