Enjoy a taste of the mountain life with skiing, river rafting, local breweries, and amazing mountain biking and hiking. We choose this home in Poncha Springs because of the quaint small town feel and beautiful views of Mount Ouray out the back door. Your only a 5 minute drive to downtown Salida and 20 minutes from Monarch mountain.
Our home has a wonderful hard wood stove and comfy living area to unwind in after a day of playing in the mountains. We have a flat screen smart TV which you can access your Netflix and Hulu accounts. We have high speed internet if you need to connect while you are away.
The master suite has a brand-new king mattress and luxurious bedding. The bathroom has a large tub/shower combo and there is plenty of room for a bubble bath.
The guest room has a beautiful mural of the mountains and the queen bed is so comfy it is hard to get out of in the morning!
Last the "kids" room is decorated with bikes because the mountain bike trails in Salida and surrounding areas made us fall in love with this place. The room has a bunk bed with a twin bed on top, full bed on the bottom.
The kitchen has anything you need to make your favorite meals during your stay. We also have a great local grocery store (la Gree's) within walking distance.
We have games and puzzles as well if you choose to stay in and cuddle by the fire.
We also have a pack 'n' play crib which fits in any of the bedrooms as well as a High-chair for our younger guests. The playground is across the street, you can watch the kids play from our front porch.

Summary: This property is clean, fresh, and lovely! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our hiking vacation and stay in this home. A very convenient location to many trails and to Salida. We enjoyed the sunsets and star gazing from the backyard patio. The owners have done an excellent job making this property comfortable and welcoming.

Summary: This property was perfect for our weekend getaway. The house was very clean. The check-in/checkout process was a breeze and well communicated. The garage is huge and easily held our two cars and 4 mountain bikes for an added bit of security. The beds were clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for the weekend. We will seek out this property again the next time we're in the area.

Summary: This was probably the cleanest property I’ve ever stayed at. Super cute place. Not much for outdoor decor but the inside was immaculate. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Poncha Springs is a quiet little community.

Summary: This house is a perfect getaway—it is fully stocked with anything you would need! The house is very comfortable, clean, and wonderful! We loved the outdoor space in the back and cooking in the large kitchen. Annie was super helpful and quick to respond! Downtown Salida is just 5-10 min away with plenty of restaurants, great bakeries and coffee shops, and places to shop! It was a great location and I would highly recommend this property!

Summary: We loved staying at this house in Poncha Springs. The house was so clean, I could swear that we were the very first people to ever stay here. The place was spacious and well laid out. The rooms were big and the master bed was very comfy. Right outside there was an adorable little park that our two year old LOVED. We walked over there every day. There were cute little homey touches in the house. There were games, coffee, a well stocked kitchen, and even extra toiletries in case we forgot anything. We also had the pleasure of seeing deer every day and even a very large bear during our stay right outside! We were told by the neighbors that this was a rare sighting, but it was so neat! Communication with Annie was very easy and quick. We have plans to stay here again in the coming years.

Summary: Stayed with another family (4 adults 3 kids) for a summer weekend in Salida. Close to town, new, tastefully decorated, everything available and easily locate able. Helpful notes around the property. I especially appreciated the labeled light switches!
