Pure nature all around, perfect view of the lake from the living room and the master bedroom. Cottage is well insulated and cozy. Everything is there for your winter or summer getaway holiday! Beautiful in the Fall or Spring time as well. Only 4 cottages in the bay. Lots of privacy. It's a winter wonderland and Summer playground.
You have access the entire home and the property. You can go swimming in the lake or fishing. There are two canoes and a kayak for your use. You must bring down your life jackets, and every one must wear one while using floating devices on the lake.
This is a quiet and peaceful place you will find close to a major city. Only about 30 minutes from Ottawa, Ontario and 10-15 minutes from Gatineau Quebec. Located in L'Ange-Gardien Quebec just before Buckingham. Quebec.
If you are looking for peace and quiet is this the place for you. It is a short walk downhill to the Cottage in the winter months.
- The cottage is sitting on the edge of lake Donaldson.
- Perfect reception for cell phones
- Only 5-10 min drive to the big stores like Maxi's, Canadian Tire, Shopper's Drug Mart and many restaurants.
- There is a fire pit (please bring your own logs).
You must make sure there are no flames left after each use. It's a must to put out all flames by throwing a bucket of water in the firepit. We recently added a SPA for your relaxation(must followthe instruction). A Gazebo over looking the lake. We also now have high speed internet and a Smart TV for your entertainment. Summary: Really enjoyed this cottage. It had everything we needed. We were lucky the fall colour was delayed, so we saw quite the natural show. Sunrises and sunsets aren’t directly viewable, but the sky colours are amazing. Highly recommended!

Summary: We spend 21 days in Salim's cottage at lake Donaldson (July 2021). The site is beautiful with a view from the terrasse directly on the bay. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. We had to do some more cleaning when we arrived but it depends on your degree of tolerance. During our stay, we explored the surroundings near Buckingham and Petite-Nation (St André, Ripon, Chénéville). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We appreciated the location with 10 min drive from the city and services.

Summary: The chalet is nice for a long weekend. The place is small but comfortable, the highlight being the access + view onto the lake. Overall a cute spot even if some amenities need an upgrade, it's got a nice vibe to it. Salim is nice, flexible and well intentioned.

Summary: The location, especially the access to the lake, is great. Outside amenities are a must (patio with nice view, firepit, canoes). The chalet is nice and cozy but as mentioned by many before us, it is not the cleanest. It was still ok and we would recommend staying there.

Summary: Thank you so much for a wonderful trip! The cottage is really charming and homey, perfect for a small group. It was so nice to get away from the city and forget about the pandemic for a few days. Remote and quiet place, but still only ten minutes away from the nearest towns. We spent a wonderful three hours exploring the lake by canoe, we made a campfire on the second night, and we had a genuinely refreshing and enjoyable stay. Thank you, Salim!

Summary: We had an excellent time at Salim’s cottage. The location was great, and the lake/island were beautiful. Salim was friendly, reachable, and helpful. The cottage is rustic, which is apparent in a few features (i.e., oven did not work). The cottage was equipped with a BBQ which we used instead. I would certainly recommend Salim’s cottage to a friend, and hope to return in the future.
