The Beach House is located approximately 300 yards along the drive from Saltmoore House and a leisurely stroll between buildings will take around five minutes. Positive: Our room was beautiful and staff on arrival very welcoming. The spa was good too, not too crowded so could use everything and gardens lovely to wander around.

Negative: The member of staff in the spa cafe part was quite rude/blunt with us. As well as this she couldn’t answer a couple of questions, didn’t bring us our drinks and had to ask three times for them (they were only water), kept getting our food order wrong as writing it so had to keep repeating and the room itself was very cold - this was picked up immediately by another member of the team when they joined and was sorted. She also said we could put the tab on the room, then told us at the end we couldn’t but again in a very blunt manner, it just seemed like she didn’t really know what she was doing unfortunately. All other members of the team were lovely and couldn’t have asked for better service.

Positive: The location, hotel and staff were all wonderful. Staff were fantastic. They went out of their way to be helpful. It was our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and they all knew about it and wished us a very happy stay. Breakfast was good.

Negative: The meal in the restaurant wasn’t the best and if it had been better quality then I wouldn’t have minded the £200 bill at all. I think the beach house accommodation was also overpriced. We have stayed in better accommodation for less money.

Summary: Lovely place and good weather made sitting out on the terrace a real pleasure. Staff wonderful!

Positive: Super clean. Great local. Nice breakfast.

Negative: Wanted to use the bath but water not hot enough which was annoying!! Ordered soup and asked for it to be hot! Came out Luke warm sent it back!!! When it came back still wasn’t hot but. We ate it anyway, didn’t have the heart to send it back again.

Positive: Everything! Family loved the bath outside! Room had great facilities and the walk along the stream was so picturesque. Breakfast was top class and staff were a delight!

Negative: Walking from beach house to other property for breakfast was difficult with a small child but when we asked for a lift back and forth on golf buggy the staff drove us, no questions asked.
