Summary: Lovely casino hotel which sadly closes in 2 months. The whole operation is a ghost town. Won $50 at slots. Hotel is very remote. Food choices limited. Sad to see it go…

Summary: This casino/hotel is closing in November. The employees learned of the closing the day of our arrival. To their credit, the staff treated us well and were quite nice. There were only about 10 rooms rented at most for the night. Apparently the casino/hotel has seen better days. Hopefully a new owner will emerge. Sam's Town was one of the original casinos. Too bad.

Summary: the price was good. the room (& bed) was comfortable. my wife liked the large shower head w/ good pressure. clerk was respectful. Cons: clerk stated our room would be next to the elevators - yes, after the ice & coke machines, & 5 other rooms. our room is showing its age. water marks on the ceiling, a bit of a musty smell on initial entry. a whiter blanket of dust under the dresser. lacks small things - no alarm clock, no list of tv channels, no replenishment of coffee.

Summary: Inside check in area is beautiful. Basic older property, basic room, deep cleaning of rooms , replacing torn furniture and new lamp shades would dramatically help cleanliness score. Sheets and towels were clean. Bathroom was definitely rushed thru on previous cleaning. (I bring cleaners to clean before we use) Not inspected prior to check in. Smoking room which we requested smelled nice. Very difficult to find floor help at casino. Employees you do find quickly tell you they cant help you.
