Summary: Well, the apartment was OK, it wasn’t great. The host was responsive to our communications, however I found the Verbo app, annoyingly difficult and clumsy to connect on. The host accommodated a special request for us to leave our bags early, before we checked in, and I appreciate that very much. It was one of the main reasons I booked there. About the apartment, one light switch in the master bedroom didn’t work at all and the other one was difficult— it would take several tries to get it to work There are no reading lamps, no table lamps in the entire place. It’s either full on bright overhead lights bouncing off white walls or nothing. Not cozy at all. In the kitchen, the soap dispenser was broken and the sponge was so used and bacteria laden we bought our own from Walmart. The pots and pans are quite scratched and really should be replaced. The good thing is that Walmart is very nearby for food shopping and supplies. Also, it’s quite noisy all the time from the outside traffic, which is understandable. The blinds do not block the light and so the rooms were never dark for sleeping. We did not sleep well. I would’ve appreciated hotter water in the showers. The water basin sink in the master bedroom is not seated properly on the pedestal, it could be right off. The place is OK but needs improvements. There is a security guard, and that’s nice. They also do offer parking spots and there was a locked safe available to use in the apartment.

Summary: Communication with Miguel was great. He always got back to me rapidly when I had any questions. We could walk easily everywhere we wanted around the UNAM area. Near the plaza de San Jacinto/San Ángel market on Saturdays, which is one of our favorites in DF. On a major avenue, but with the windows closed it was not too noisy, but then I always use my phone as a white noise maker. We had everything we needed there and it was cool to sleep at night. All in all, it was a great deal for a convenient location for us. The security for this building does keep one ID until you leave, so we just left my driver's license. They returned it upon check out. Very professional and secure. Always a guard to unlock the building and let you in, 24/7. Nice courtyard to eat in. We'd order tacos de Califa delivered, which would arrive in like 25 minutes. Or walk to churros de Carmen for tortas or enchiladas to go. Great food nearby.
