Positive: A comfortable and well-run hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk from El Sardinero beach. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, and the staff were consistently professional. It is not a hotel that tries to impress with luxury or design, but it delivers exactly what you expect from a solid four-star property. A very good base for exploring Santander's beaches.

Negative: Feels a little dated by today's standards, but somehow this also gives the hotel a more traditional character rather than making it feel neglected.

Summary: A comfortable and reliable stay in a great beachside location.

Negative: I guess not every place suits everyone and I don't speak Spanish. The room was big, the bed was comfortable and it was clean but it lacked the welcome I like. There was parking in the hotel but we had to pay €20 for the night. It was pricey enough already.

Positive: Nice quality quiet hotel. Good sized rooms & nice furnishings. It’s nice not to be able to hear the neighbours directly next door. Stayed on eighth floor. Very comfortable. In good location for us to walk to nearby restaurants etc.

Positive: Excellent room and hotel. The gym should be larger, for such a large hotel.

Negative: Pillows were terrible, too hard and too thick. It felt like I was resting my head on a soccer ball, as a side sleeper it pushed me neck too far upward. There should be different pillows available, soft, hard, medium...etc. A very nice maid found me some softer, smaller pillows. Garage parking is far too expensive.

Summary: Wonderful, clean, very professional hotel, excellent location.

Positive: Room was comfortable, spacious and immaculate with coffee maker in room. 5 mins from Sardinero beach, 10 mins from magdalena palace and I pleasant 40 min walk into the main town. Parking available but costs €18 a day. Really good value for money.
