This 3 bedroom 2 bath tranquil lake house retreat sits on a private, wooded lot overlooking Canandaigua Lake. Enjoy breathtaking views of the waterfront on your choice of two back patios or take a walk through the wooded property under a canopy of trees, immersing yourself in natural splendor.
This beautiful house features a great room with vaulted ceilings and lake views on the main level. The living area is comfortable with oversized furniture and a flat-screen TV and is the perfect place to watch movies and play games with family and friends. Off of the great room, you will find a quiet breakfast nook featuring three walls of windows overlooking the lake and wooded lot. From the Great Room, you can access the top level of this beautiful house which has a loft balcony overlooking the room and leads to the 1st bedroom. This bedroom features a queen-sized bed and ample closet space.
The kitchen is bright and features well-stocked cabinets with all your favorite cooking and serving ware, including a Keurig coffee maker. This room is open to both the hallway and the Great Room allowing for gathering and socializing while making meals. The entry-level is completed by a quiet sitting room, a full bath, and a 2nd bedroom. The bedroom on the entry level sleeps three people comfortably with a twin and queen bunk bed.
Downstairs you will find a private Master Suite with a second entrance from the outside. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, a seating area with a futon, and a covered private deck overlooking the lake complete with a hammock for relaxing. Another seating area with a futon couch is located just outside of the spacious master bedroom along with a separate laundry area. Completing this level is a bathroom featuring a tranquil Finnish sauna.
Out on the two-tiered lakeside patios, you can enjoy cooking a feast for your guests on either a gas or charcoal grill. At sunset watch the sky over the lake transform into a kaleidoscope of vivid color as you sip a glass of your favorite Finger Lakes wine or cider. At night, you can gather around the fire pit making memories under a blanket of stars.
When you are ready for some fun and sun time on the water, take a short hike down to the tram to enjoy 200’ of private lakefront. Down on the lakeside deck and dock, you can enjoy the lake scenery as you swim, fish, and take advantage of the four kayaks. The dock features a boat hoist and ladder to access all of your water toys.

Summary: This home offered us the peace, quiet, and relaxation we were looking for. The place was great to unwind from all the city stressors. The fun and convenient tram to go down to the lake allowed our 4 year old to have a lot fun. The cleanliness of the lake and the private dock made it even more enjoyable! The owner was very nice and responsive! The house was equipped with all we needed during our stay including clean towels and linens (this was nice since some places don’t provide). The house was clean and inviting. Overall we had a wonderful experience at Sunset Cliffs!

Summary: This is a great rental property and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The house itself is very comfortable. The air conditioning is first rate, there are nice sheets and towels, comfortable beds, and lots of space for a family to spread out. The two balconies are fabulous, and the views every bit as good as the house name, "Sunset Cliffs" suggests. I particularly enjoyed the hammock and different seating areas on the lower patio, off of the master bedroom, because it was shaded even in the middle of the day. We ate in every evening and I found the kitchen wanting for nothing. We loved making s'mores on the propane fire pit (and were thrilled the house comes with metal marshmallow skewers!) Potential renters should be aware that the house is on a well- so the water coming from the tap and showers has a sulfur smell. Depending on the preferences of your party this could be an issue, although it wasn't for me. Perhaps the best thing about the house is how private it is. You literally don't see another property when you are in the house, and the only external noise we heard was from party boats down on Canandaigua Lake. About the lake: it's stunning, and this house is located in a particularly pristine portion. We really enjoyed kayaking in the kayaks, and there's a nice space to hang out on the dock. The tram is a huge bonus, because the cliffs are very steep here. Anyone who rents this house should be aware that it's a hike to get down to the tram, and it feels like an even longer hike to get back. Overall I think this house provides a really great value. We had a wonderful time.

Summary: The home is welcoming to guests. They have a cute breakfast nook and two decks with beautiful lake views. A bit of a walk down to the lake, but they have a nice dock with kayaks. We enjoyed some relaxing family time and glowing sunsets. Note to bring bottled water. Ryan was very responsive.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the beginning our host Ryan was so helpful and made sure we knew all about his place. When we arrived I had a couple of questions and he answered immediately and even followed up the next day. When we arrived the place was spotless, the bedding, towels and other amenities were perfect. The air conditioning worked wonderfully as well as the internet. The two decks provided for wonderful family dinner gatherings and relaxation. The outdoor barbecue was top notch. The town of Canadaigua was a short ride from the cottage. The dock is accessible by an automated tram and just a short drive to get there. The bottle of wine that was waiting for us was a special touch! Thank You Ryan for letting us enjoy Sunset Cliffs.
