Summary: Amazing Schloss to visit and stay in. Harburg and the castle itself are stunning, the staff were very friendly & helpful and the food was delicious. Highly recommend taking the time to do the walk around the outside of the castle (there is a beautiful fairytale walk)

Summary: Fabulous historic property on park like grounds. Owners are charming.Restaurant great. There was a wedding one night. Fun to sit outside and watch the event. Next night delightful Rossini concert. Beds squeak quite a bit but with with antique milieu. Highly recommend.

Summary: What a great way to stay overnight in a castle! Room & bathroom small & primitive. I guess that comes with the territory. We were glad to park our car near the restaurant and thankful to make use of the restaurant for dinner as we had driven for hours to getvto the castle. Breakfast was very datisfyung with a lot if different items to chose from. Thank you!

Summary: We took the tour (which was just us) and enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Dinner was good (your standard German fair, done well) and we were glad we did not go out. While it is not an "over the top" kind of place, I would recommend as an interesting change of pace from your average hotel in "town". We have stayed in other castles and paid a lot more; Harburg would be your basic "castle" experience and was a great place to stop over on our way to Munich from Rothenburg.

Summary: This property was an enjoyable experience! The ambience of staying in an 11th century castle cannot be out done! The rooms were clean & adequate. Bathroom very small. Restaurant open for breakfast only. There is a way to walk into town…it is an easy walk downhill but coming back up is more difficult. We enjoyed a tour of the property. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for an “experience” over a luxury hotel!

Summary: We stay in a clean room but the only downfall was the castle was not open and lady said they can not open any door just for us.

Summary: We got a room in the tower (totally worth paying extra for!) that was much nicer than we expected. Nice shower and comfy bed. The castle is over 1,000 years old and is one of the coolest experiences we had.

Summary: The attraction here is the castle and it is wonderful to walk around without any crowds. From our experience, you do not expect luxury accommodation at a Castle unless you are paying a LOT more than we paid here. The room we stayed in at Harburg had a big new bathroom, which was much appreciated, but the remainder was small and a bit worse for wear. Interior design is inconsistent throughout the building and restaurant. Dinner and breakfast were good. Overall, a good stay for the price.

Summary: Awesome experience in an authentic castle. Our room was beautiful and updated, with some very special views of the castle out the window. If you have the opportunity to book the suite, I highly recommend it. Our only disappointment was at check-in when our room was not yet available at almost 5pm. We ended up taking the tour of the castle in the mean time which worked out fine, but we were very tired from the drive and would have liked to rest. Check-in process is a little confusing, there is no official check-in desk and guest are expected to just attract the attention of someone from the restaurant. But overall, would highly recommend as a unique experience.
