Summary: Hotel was very good . Evening meal in hotel restaurant was excellent . Everything had been so good I was looking forward to breakfast . Unfortunately breakfast was disappointing , even though I would still use the hotel again .

Summary: Family owed hotel that is situated in a half-timbered traditional Black Forest house. The rooms are well appointed and spacious with a sitting area and a sufficiently big writing desk. All was perfectly clean. The bathroom was sufficient in size.The balcony gave on the river. The rooms facing the river a quiet. The breakfast buffet was complete and garnished with quality products from the region.We had twice dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food is traditional German cooking of high standards. The prices in the restaurant are fair. The ambiance is elegant and welcoming. We were overall happy with our stay. The employees were all attentive and welcoming to render our stay as a memorable experience. The only point that was not perfect is the fee Wi-Fi which was sufficiently fast for surfing but at times patchy and unstable with the connection lost when using voice communication. .

Summary: We loved staying in a small town and finding a modernly updated hotel room without sacrificing the old world look and feel. Breakfast was delicious and their dinner was authentic and we enjoyed it so much. We took the advice to request rooms in the back of the hotel where there is a stream right outside your door.

Summary: Great location, near Freiburg and several other picturesque Black Forest locations. Breakfast was fantastic. Owner was very accommodating and service could not have been better. We would definitely stay here again!
