Positive: Amazing location on a salt water lake, incredible swims off the pier, with a hot tub on the shore We had a view of the lake from our room The staff were all very attentive, especially Liam ..thank you

Positive: A great getaway location in the middle of connemara .. fabulous old style games lodge ..with a neat spa/pool area ..all staff were relaxed and friendly and a scrumptious breakfast ..
Negative: it was a nice relaxing few days..only thing would be..if you need any small bits n pieces (like a sunday paper) ..it was a short drive for any shops

Positive: THE LOCATION IS DELIGHTFULLY QUIET AND THE VIEWS OVER THE WATER BEAUTIFUL - ESPECIALLY AT FIRST LIGHT. RESTAURANT AMBIENCE AND FOOD FIRST CLASS.
Negative: WE WERE FIRST SHOWN TO A ROOM OVER THE SPA IN AN ANNEX WHICH IN NO WAY MET MY EXPECTATION FOR A COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL ROOM. LUCKILY THE HOTEL WERE ABLE TO PUT US IN A COSY TRADITIONAL ROOM IN THE HOUSE. (SUGGEST THOSE BOOKING AND THE HOTEL SHOULD MAKE SURE A GUEST KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE GETTING). HOWEVER THE COSY ROOM LACKED COMFORTABLE (ARM)CHAIRS, WHICH IN MY EXPERIENCE OF HOTELS LIKE THIS THERE IS USUALLY PROVISION - ALLOWING ONE TO TAKE TEA, SIT AND READ ETC IN THE ROOM IF NOT SOCIABLE. HAVING SAID THIS THE DRAWING ROOM WITH ITS FIRE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE.

Positive: The location is very beautiful and scenic. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent.
Negative: We booked a "luxury" suite in a country house but when we arrived we were told you booked a suite in an outbuilding (over their spa). Of course, this was not the case. When I booked there was no mention that we would be accomodated in an outbuilding. I wish there had been transparency - I would have fond alternative accomodation. We were told the main house was full. Being in an outbuilding that could have been a Mariott or Radisson was very disappointing. It changed the tenor of our visit. The manager comped our bottle of dinner wine, which was gracious, but it was not an issue of money for me or my wife. My hope and plea is that this property disclose that fact that planned accomodation will be in an outhouse so customers have the opportunity to change their booking if this is important to them.
