Positive: Maristella the owner is very nice and communication with her was extremely easy. The apartment is located right across the street from the sea. It has a cute garden where we enjoyed sitting when it was no longer too hot. Maristella left water bottles, juice, tea… for us. The rooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable. There is one AC between the bedrooms but it was quite enough for both bedrooms despite the great heat outside. Many towels were left for our use, shampoo in the bathroom and continuous hot water. We also were worried about the mosquitos but there were nets and we did not see any mosquito during our stay. There is a private parking nearby but we didn’t need to use it since we always found a spot in front of the house on the street. There are many resorts, hotels and restaurants walking distance where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The beach is literally a 2 minutes walk. Wifi working very well in all the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment if staying in Mazzeo.

Positive: Maristella, the host met us. She was so friendly and helpful. Wonderful host who was so helpful when my daughter got stung by a jellyfish Apartment is within a lovely building with a lovely secluded garden where you can sit under an orange tree. Location is in a village just next to Taormina. You have together the bus into Taormina, but they are cheap. Advantage is that restaurants are nearly half the price for what you pay in Taormina and you avoid the crowds that you experience in Taormina.

Positive: Maristella is an extraordinary host, who works hard to ensure that the rooms are comfortable and well-furnished and the garden is beautiful. There were locally made sweets to welcome us, and our 2 BR apartment came with a huge terrace with table&chairs and lounge chairs. Building is a converted house in a large private garden across the street from the beach. It is a 5 minute walk to the bus, which take you to Taromina (10 minutes), the train station (20 minutes), and the Catania airport (not sure). On the street parking. This fishing village has a good selection of restaurants on the water as well as small scale shopping. It was a very relaxing place to escape the crowds of beautiful Taromina.
Summary: a relaxing, restorative stay in a very convenient location.
