Welcome to the Seal Bay Guest Cottage- a peaceful carriage house set amongst the trees yet still only 10 min from town. A cozy place to rest while you explore the beautiful Comox Valley. Close to Seal Bay Nature park, where you can enjoy forest walks and trail biking, beach combing and more. If you like wine, the award winning Forty Knots Winery is just down the road. There are numerous farm stands in the neighbourhood and so much to explore. Mount Washington is only a 30 min drive away.
The guest cottage has an open plan kitchen with all of the amenities you will need to cook a great meal. The living room has comfortable seating with large windows, games and a smart tv. Down the hall is the bathroom, with a full tub and shower combo.The bedroom boasts a king size bed and lots of closet space. The laundry is tucked away here as well. Outside on the patio you will find seating and a bbq. Bikes can be locked up around the back side of the house.
The owners live in the main house but it is set a distance away from the cottage and they are often away during the summer months. Pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times when outside. Summary: The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us and great location for the activities we had planned. It was easy to find and the property manager was always available when we had questions. It was equipped with most of the things we needed.

Summary: The place was clean, we liked the large coffee cups ! It seems like a small thing, but why do so many rentals have such little ones? We didn’t use the bbq or stove, basically this rental was our touchstone as we travelled around. I can understand what another reviewer said about the lack of blinds on the door, however it was fine. Maybe not super private to walk around nude but we don’t do that ha ha. Our only complaint was that we arrived at 10pm at night in the dark- the property could have been better marked from the main road. As well, it would have helped to have the motion lights on so we could see where to park- we parked incorrectly until the next morning. We had to use our iPhone flashlights to see the keypad. had use

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Seal Bay Cottage:) location was wonderful us and our lab who enjoyed the trials nearby for morning walks:) Cottage was well stocked and clean:) communication with Jen was effortless and she accommodated us changing the dates we wanted to come with no issues and was super helpful:) We enjoyed the area and will definitely be back!

Summary: I booked this cabin because of the proximity to the dogs agility trials venue since our dogs participated in the trials, however, we discovered a real gem. Everything in the cabin looks brand new. The king size bed is very comfortable for sleeping, the heat pump allows to regulate temperature at the click of the button, couch is very comfy and clean to sit on, all appliances are brand new and fully functional, the bathroom has a bath tub and also new and clean. Our dogs that are usually pretty nervous about the new place also got accommodated quickly. There is a BBQ outside as well. Jen is a wonderful host and very quick to respond to any requests. She even allowed us to check out late since we had our trials delayed. That helped us tremendously and possibly contributed to our win! The cabin is very close to the beautiful Seal Bay nature park that has lots of trails to walk and the stunning beach. I would recommend this to everyone who loves nature and would like to spend some away from the crowds.

Summary: The property is more of an apartment than a cottage. There are no window coverings on the front ground level French doors, which made us feel there was a lack of privacy. The couch and the one rocker chair were extremely uncomfortable. The outside really needed to be tidied up.
