Summary: Flat is about 100 metres from Portabello Beach and a small Italian Bistro with outside tables. Lovely long beach promenade with several other restaurants/takeaways. This is a quiet residential location, ideal for us - we need a quiet space to retreat to after a busy day. There is an Aldi supermarket next to the bus stop 5 mins walk away, ideal for grabbing your essentials. Only 20 mins on bus into Edinburgh City Centre. Buses are very regular and a family day ticket is £10.50. So much to do in Edinburgh City Centre and we enjoyed some lovely evening walks along Portabello Beach Promenade. Highly recommend this flat if you are planning to use public transport. We would happily stay here again.

Summary: The apartment was cosy, clean and well equipped. John was most welcoming and on hand to see to our needs. We had off street parking outside the door which was handy. Portobello is a nice beach area with plenty of places to eat and a lovely pub (The Forresters Guild) on the main road. The Old Town and Princess Street is only a 15 minute bus ride away. We had a lovely time staying in Portobello for our Edinburgh holiday.

Summary: A great apartment for 4, had everything we needed was very clean and had extremely comfy beds. A good location with good local transport connections into the centre of Edinburgh with the added bonus of being by the sea. Would certainly come again.

Summary: Really good option if you don't want to stay in centre of the city. We loved the fact that we could spend the day exploring the city and end the day with a stroll on the beach, followed by a drink and a meal along the promenade. John was an excellent host and on hand to answer any questions. One small thing, it might have helped to open windows and air the flat before we arrived as it smelt a little musty. It improved once we had aired it. Other than that, the flat was perfectly good for our needs and in an excellent position.
