If you're wanting to escape it all then this is the place for you. Accessible by 4x4 only, or by boat or helicopter this property is situated on 50 acres of native bush. Surrounded by beautiful bush walks, farm animals (including sheep, peacocks, chickens, ducks and other exotic birds) this property is the epitome of privacy and seclusion.
Perfect for a romantic weekend away, or 2 families wanting to have a holiday together, a fishing weekend, or as an artists' retreat.
There is a wharf out from the cottage and pontoon in the bay. Jetty water depth is 2.7m at high tide and dry at low tide.
Great fishing spot for those who love fishing the bottom end of the island, dinghy available for your use.
This is a basic bach - 2 bedrooms upstairs - open plan with a small area downstairs that houses the kitchen / dining and lounge.. 25 mins drive time to Onetangi and approx 30-40mins to Oneroa.

Summary: Friends are still raving about the accomodation, even with some poor weather. Plenty of room for touch rugby and frisbee, swimming etc all within your own slice of paradise. Great for adults getaway, or bring the kids, we’ll be back probably with kids in tow next time I’d say.

Summary: This place is seriously a special slice of paradise, you will not be disappointed. We have stayed on Waiheke every summer for the past 10years and this property was voted by our family as the most special of them all. And trust me we have stayed over the years at some very incredible places. If you are looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with family & friends and a location that you can’t even put a price tag on then this is the place for you. The accommodation is unique but the location is magical.

Summary: The Boat Shed at Whites Bay is a unique little spot, in a valley on the beach front. A converted boat shed with jetty right on the beach, with gorgeous valley grouns featuring peacocks, chickens, ducks and pigeons along with endearing little donkeys and some sheep. Unfortunately the Boat Shed needs some serious investment for it to be worth the premium being charged, given how far out of the way it is. The boat shed is draughty and cold, despite the wood burner, and the interior is 'petite' and in need of freshening up. Double glazing retrofit would work a treat. The cook top wasn't working (one element). A small investment would make the Boat Shed romantic, cosy and worth the money, and would then match the gorgeous site and privacy.
