Summary: Our family enjoyed the weekend, and Joel was super responsive. House was clean and ready for us, and we found the house was - as-advertised. A great spot. 15 minutes to Butternut ski and a quick ride to Great Barrington too.

Summary: We are six older adults (three couples). This is the 42nd consecutive Labor Day weekend that we have traveled together to a different location, someplace in the Northeast, mostly New England. Over the years we have stayed in MANY houses and cottages and this one is right near the top of the list. This home is very easy to find and offers plenty of parking. From the moment you step inside you feel like you are home. The house was spotlessly clean, wide open and spacious. All six of us were able to gather and spend time together around (1) the kitchen counter, which has several stools (2) the dining room,which is adjacent to the kitchen counter (3) the living room and (4) the screened-in porch adjacent to the one big room which is the main part of the house. There's a wraparound deck that includes a late model Weber grill and a table height propane fired fire pit. The public beach at Lake Garfield is a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk from the house. The beach was perfect offering a grassy section that offered some shade and then a large sandy beach area. Everything about the house was great. There were plenty of linens, towels, washcloths, pots and pans, kitchen utensils and everything. The furniture was in great shape and very comfortable. I just can't say enough about how great this experience was. Each of us commented about what a perfect house this is for people to gather together and share each other's company. I give this place five stars. I wish Joel and Melissa many years of successful hosting. Thank you for your hospitality.

Summary: I stayed here because I had extended family along. There is a large deck, fire pit (bring marshmallows), screened in porch, counter space, large table, great room and 1/2 bath…. Lots of common space. The two primaries with attached baths are on the main entertainment floor and the other two bedrooms are on the entry floor one is a set up as a tv room. There is a bath on this level, as well. In the seasons coming, this house is a perfect place for leaf lookers and Butternut skiers (very close by)….it reminds me of a lodge - lodge characteristics and good, clean space. The bathrooms were clean, had dodo and plenty of towels. The bedrooms were clean with nice linens The kitchen had basic spices, coffee maker, pots, dish ware, sharp knives, utensils, cleaning supplies, dishwasher, etc Basically, you have everything you need in this house and it is easy to find. The house has beautiful wood floors on the main level and tile throughout the entry level. It has central air and that works well. The house is private with beautiful woods around it but it is not in a remote area. Make sure you have your coffee by the fire pit in the morning - the sun in that spot is perfection. Don’t miss the little town beach down the road. The sun warms the sand early in the morning and it’s a great spot for lunch later in the day. You can walk but it’s bit far for non-hikers. You have to drive a bit if you want anything. No little town to walk to. There are supermarkets approx 15 minutes away. GB and all the restaurants imagine are about a 10-15 minute drive, Butternut Ski area 10 minutes, etc. Stockbridge, Lee a bit longer. There is a tv on the entry level that streams and one in a main bedroom that does not work. We called management …he was responsive in that he showed up right away and tried to fix it but could not. No movies in bed was a negative. Hope they fixed that. I apprehensively reserved this house because it takes pets and I am super picky about cleanliness and pets. I am a dog owner and brought mine. It was immaculate.

Summary: The cabin is perfect for larger family, great area to explore, hiking, swimming and relaxing in the nature. We could not ask for a better place to stay for our three generations vacation with our new dog . It was a wonderful experience and o would not hesitate to rent it again.
