As soon as you enter the home's main level, you'll notice floor-to-ceiling windows and a bright interior with gorgeous wooden accents throughout; this gives guests that chic rustic feeling no other homes can achieve so elegantly. The open floor plan is ideal for family gatherings; no matter what you're doing, no one will ever feel left out. Kick your feet up and relax in the inviting living room as you let the sun's rays lull you to a peaceful experience. If it's too cold for your liking, you can throw some logs into the wood-burning fireplace and listen to the fire crackle. On your way to the kitchen, you'll come across a dining table with space for guests, plus more seats at the kitchen bar. On the spacious patio, there is an outdoor dining table offering even more spots.
This kitchen is like no other; it's a gourmet kitchen equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and utensils that will make cooking a breeze. Spacious and well-equipped, this kitchen will surely help you channel your inner Jamie Oliver and surprise guests with mouth-watering meals. Right off the kitchen and to your right is another living space with inviting sofas and a recliner. On this level of the lakefront retreat, you'll find one bedroom with a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a half bathroom. Outside, the patio is spacious and offers unparalleled Little Star Lake views. Gather around the firepit after dinner and experience beautiful sunsets while making 'Smores. You'll find two bedrooms on the lower level, each with a queen bed and twin bunks. In the common area is one futon, a day bed with a trundle, and your very own Ping-Pong table. As you climb up the stairs all the way up to the upper level, you'll find two bedrooms, each with king beds and en-suite bathrooms.
Don’s Bay Retreat offers a secluded location on the shores of Little Star Lake, a clear, deep-water lake attached to the 10 Lake Chain. The State Park beach is located a half-mile away. The small town of Manitowish Waters is a short three-and-a-half-mile drive and is located in a scenic area off Route 51. This town has a great abundance of locally-owned restaurants and the shops add to the overall relaxed vibe. Outdoor enthusiasts will have a blast here all year long with all the opportunities to try various outdoor activities such as boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and fishing. There’s no shortage of land-based activities, with snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skiing, and miles of hiking and mountain biking available. You'll be sitting near snowmobile trails and have snowmobile access to the lake. A paved bike trail from Manitowish Waters to St. Germain offers a unique way to tour the area while getting some exercise.
