Herons Riverhouse at Coochee Hammock is a well-appointed two-story home perched among giant oaks and cypress on 40-acres along the Withlacoochee River. This comfortable retreat is perfect for exploring, kayaking, fishing, birdwatching, stargazing, or just snuggling up to the fire.
The property includes its own private 'island' among the cypress knees and sandy shore of an incredibly scenic vista. A small bridge accesses the island for an exclusive birding, fishing, or picnic experience.
Relax in the hammock swing or ride the forest trails. Nearby Withlacoochee State Trail and State Forest offer full days of cycling or hiking opportunities on pavement or dirt. Canoe, kayak, and bicycles on premises.

Summary: This was a wonderful vacation location. The house was beautiful and very clean. We loved the isolation of the house, yet it was near restaurants and shopping. Our host was very helpful and thought of many extras to make our stay more enjoyable. Would recommed to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation!

Summary: This is our 3rd or 4th visit to the tree house. Every member of my family is excited to come here and spend time with nature, unplugged and exploring the woods. We can't say enough good things about this place and the hosts are beyond accommodating. We will be back! :)
