Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seclusion. Beautiful loft and grounds. We spent much time on the covered deck overlooking the garden and forest. It’s situated close to many attractions such as the Raptors, the Kinsol trestle bridge and Shawnigan lake to name a few. Our hosts Gloria and Earl most accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and all it has to offer. We’ll most definitely be back the next time we visit the island. Rob U..

Summary: This place is an excellent retreat if you are looking for peace and quiet. A perfect cottage for two with a balcony to enjoy those summer days/evenings. The setting is excellent and very peaceful with great garden area to relax, chill and reflect. Lots of outdoor activities in the area - trails, biking, points of interest and the Raptors in Duncan. Kinsol trestle bridge walk is a must. Last but by no means the least, the hosts Earl and Gloria were just awesome and there to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be.

Summary: As forest fires were raging all around the interior of BC and smoke filled the air we needed a few days of clean, air and sunny skies for a break. This spot provided just what we needed. Gloria and Earl were excellent hosts, full of information when we wanted it. They even gave us a piece of Earl’s delicious smoked salmon when we arrived.The large, one room suite was very clean and well furnished. A large covered deck was a great place for a morning coffee or a meal. It was right in the forest with places to walk or sit in the trees. There’s a suprising number of things to do in the Cowachin valley.

Summary: The loft is thoughtfully laid out and includes a deck that looks over the trees and gardens. The hosts are hospitable and lovely people who also let us make tea and stir fry from their garden! Wonderful experience, and we look forward to booking here again in the future!

Summary: This is a loft above a workshop, it is very clean and more than enough space for 2 people. The place is well equipped & the bed is very comfortable. It is very quite there and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed 4 days/3 nights. Earl & Gloria are very pleasant and very accommodating. This was our first trip to Shawnigan Lake and found this location perfect for travelling around and seeing other sites. We would highly recommend this place. Brian & Iris.

Summary: Great location! Suite has everything you need and more. Gloria and Earl were great to deal with. Accommodation was exceptionally clean. If you’re looking to get away for a quiet, relaxing few days this is definitely the place.
