Positive: Very touristy. But good breakfast. Average room. Nothing special about it. Good location. This place (village) is awesome. it is a bit away from Hall Statt and hence quiet. Hotel is next to the lake's other side (not the main town). There is a boat service to Hall Statt (paid) so one can go there and come back via boat. Great place for amazing walks around.
Negative: Slightly cramped. Especially on second floor so almost like an attic.
Summary: Amazing location and standard room. Avoid second floor rooms.

Positive: Beware! There are TWO Seehotel at Hallstatt. This is not the one you are looking for on the lake! This is fine. Nice staff, sweet but not a hotel. This is like a dorm. Beautiful mountains and lots of restaurants
Negative: I booked the wrong seehotel. So did the guests we met at lunch. Same name but very different.

Positive: Staff were really helpful and lovely. Breakfast was good. The location was an absolute Highlight. We only stayed one night but the room was comfortable and the needs of an extra bed were met.
Negative: It would be nice if parking was included in the cost.

Positive: Newly remodeled. Wonderful staff who greeted us and helped us throughout our stay. The room was stunning and clean with high ceilings and a great view. A lovely breakfast was served in the morning. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. They helped us to find the boat that would take us across the lake to Hallstatt and explained how to catch the bus at the end of the day back to their hotel. The staff actually went above and beyond to help us.
Negative: I have no complaints at all about this hotel. It is about a eight minute walk from the train station to the hotel.

Positive: The views, family room was new, however could not find controls for heating and the bathroom was cold. Facilities - pool, table tennis, fooseball and badminton rackets to use free of charge which is great. Right by the lake and lake park which is perfect for kids
Negative: The matresses are stone hard 😭 we all had back problems. Could not find any heating controls, the bathroom was cold constantly while showering. Son was freezing. The breakfast was good, but the same every day. Some variety would be good - warm meats like breakfast sausage, bacon or ham would be good alongside the scrambled eggs. They could also create a DIY omelette station No restaurant. There are only two restaurant options nearby, one is overpriced and the other - the Italian pizzaria calls itself a bowling alley but they removed the bowling alley so false advertising....and the food - was mediocre at best. Do not order the pizza, its by far the worst pizza ive had in my life. Completely flavourless other than salt They have enough space to provide vending machines for food and drinks. There was one vending machine which offered next to nothing. It was basically empty the whole stay and not refilled. They should have a mini-store like the neighbor resort and offer up food for dinner even if it is just a few options as there isn't much around.

Positive: The location from Vienna was really straight forward. We paid 12 Euroesfor the parking space and it worth it they let us to left the car there in the check out day till 3pm. You can get into the hallstadt city by boat with 17 Euroes from thre or by car(sometimes is quit busy), and even option by bike.
Negative: The bed wasn't designed for tall people. My foot was out of the end edge of the bed. But still wasnt a big issue
