Positive: When we arrived we checked in early however this was no problem for the staff at the hotel and our room was upgraded which was a nice surprise. The room was impeccable with the most amazing view and extremely clean. We had a balcony so we could sit and enjoy a drink whilst taking in the scenery. The hotel offers information on excursions and trips and a map of the area which is very helpful. The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The location is brilliant with just a short walk into the town, also offering cable carts to the most amazing view on the mountain where we enjoyed a drink and the scenery.

Negative: We would have liked to have done a boat ride however we were advised that either the boats or the boat house was under renovation so the boat trips were not running however this could have been due to the time we visited and not being within the right season.

Positive: Location is excellent, the room was bigger and nicer than standard. staff was very friendly and helpful. Boat house is a very nice addition.

Negative: The boathouse should be maneged In case of a que in my opinion. It is very easy to forget time when you are on the lake.

Positive: The property is stylish, luxurious, expansive, well maintained and includes excellent parking. The reception and restaurant staff were very courteous and efficient. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet included an outstanding selection of savoury and sweet offerings. Coffee was great. The local environment is very quiet and feels safe, and the town of St Gilgen is quaint and beautiful. Our room had magnificent views of Wolfgangsee. Make sure that you travel up to Mount Zwölferhorn on the cable car for some spectacular views of the surrounding regions. Overall, this is a superb property that is also great value for money.
